This is rad. The area is beautiful, plenty of talent has come from this region as well, it will be awesome to see it get some recognition. I am trying to think of logistics and expense to the teams (hoping that does not stop teams from coming), it can't be much different than Abu Dhabi.

I honestly have my my doubts about this event taking place in Cape Town South Africa. We have heard bugger all about this and there is only one massive stadium in Cape Town which will be ridiculously expensive.

Indeed, according to Wiki, homicide rate almost made the world top10 in 2022 (12th). Cape Town ranked between New Orleans (8th) and Baltimore (17th) to give US fans some reference.

Paul, with all due respect but you are misinformed. Cape Town is the safest city in probably the most of Africa. Yes, there are the no go places where the problems are.
Like any city there is crime but Cape Town is damn good compared to other cities in SA.

I spent the best part of a year there. One of the most beautiful cities I’ve been to (and I’ve seen a lot) and I never once felt unsafe in my regular days. (I went to some notoriously bad areas in South Africa as part of the work I was doing)
I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Let’s hope it will coincide with one of my twice a year trip to the Mother City.
Otherwise it would be a very long trip from Tzaneen / Limpopo
