Fellow Vitards,
I was thinking about how good Musquin could have been this year and having a good chance on getting a championship. And then it struck me how low key his retirement announcement and farewell has been for such an accomplished racer.
I think he had his farewell to the professional sport at Paris? He at least deserved a bit more spotlight and recognition and should have had his farewell at lets say A1. In a way it matches his personality perhaps.

Ok thats all.
Celebrating a Red Bull athlete at a monster event. He certainly deserves it. But no championship in the 450 class not go’s happen. Sadly
I thought he was trying to come back from an injury and it just never happened. I could be completely off base, but for some reason I thought he was injured and was trying to come back then just never did and called it quits.
Fair point, did not think about the red bull/monster connection
Good point, Musquin would be VERY good this season if he was still in it.

What about Chisolm? They talk about his retirement nearly every broadcast. Maybe Musquin wanted it to be low-key I'm not sure. I do love the extra Chiz coverage this year though lol
Yeah, this seems so off putting it in this light haha. At least give him a ride in the spotlight at opening ceremonies or something.
Funny this came up I saw him on the Indy broadcast in the background a couple times and I believe I saw him talking to Tom and he was wearing a KTM team shirt so that sort of makes sense he would be helping him out.
Dude has a natural talent and was incredible on a 250. His style never seemed to translate well to a 450, in my opinion. I wish someone on the team would have very quietly snuck a 350 motor in his bike, and seen what would have happened. He was a fun dude to watch, and I hate to see him no longer around.
There was a bit of a celebration for him at Paris SX this year
Geez I thought he was
There was no retirement celebration because he didn’t mean to retire
He got hurt in 22, was offered a sx only contract in 23 and destroyed his wrist after the first race, and that was it.
Add Musquin to the broadcast team!!!! I saw him cruising through the crowd at Indianapolis, good to see him active and at the races.
Wasn’t sure so looked up- surprised Marvin is 35! Such a nice genuine guy, would be good to have him in the booth one weekend.
I'm still bitter from him getting injured at the start of the 2018 season, he had been building momentum like crazy from the end of 2017 and that should have been his title year.
I sure miss Marv at the races.
Can't see why he couldn't be honored because he was on Red Bull team.... The RedBull/RockStar are supporting Monster just by being sponsors in the first place. This sport es loco....
