My son is a big Freddie fan. He waited for quite a while to see him yesterday, and when he came out to head into the stadium, stopped and talked with my boy for a minute. Just calling out the 33 and his mechanic for being nice guys and making a kids day.

Freddie is a beauty.
Ran into Freddie at our hotel in Denver after the '22 Lakewood national. Such a down to earth guy. I contemplated even bothering him by saying hi, but glad I did. He is a good dude for sure. He is strong in his faith and the peace he has shines out.

Great story! Glad we have like folks like this in the sport. A cool experience for your son for sure.
We used to promote mtb races and had a couple of riders that were great ambassadors for the sport. Their friendly, outgoing personalities were far more valuable than their results.
