Here’s someone who is on rc’s level.
Pampered athlete syndrome. He's been told how great he is for virtually his entire life so now he believes that applies to everything he does.
Decades of that treatment has an impact on a guys ego, and he's clearly in love with the smell of his own farts by now. No changing it.
You know that boat clapback kept RC up for a night or two. A quick wit can't be taught or preperated for, you either have it or you don't.
Applies to everything in life. DB could have ran the exact same regime as RC or RV and he'd still get lapped. RC who first stepped in the booth for a guest appearance (injured 04 sx) more than 20 years ago and has a ton of experience will never be as good as even the super green DB was
I don't know what else you guys were expecting on the Pulp show. It sucks they "couldn't" speak their true feelings on it, because I'd be willing to bet behind the scenes they are supporting Daniel more than the show implied. I'm sure Daniel knows that. After all, he did try to move on and not air all this out.
Doesn't mean JT or Steve agree with how Daniel went about it, which is fine. Everyone can have their opinion. They definitely focused WAY too much on the "you don't like people you work with" thing, but I don't know if that was intentionally done to draw focus away from what Daniel really had a problem with.
Steve is Steve and he's going to always find a contrarian type point to make, it's just what he does. JT gave Daniel a lot of praise for how he helped him when he got on the broadcast, which to me is an indicator of why some of this happened.
Daniel is just too "nice" for that world. Without GOAT status, or a resume of announcing the Olympics or the like, unfortunately you aren't going to get anywhere being that kind of guy. I could see it going the same exact way for AC and Brayton. RC is there because they get to say "The Greatest of All Time" every single show. That's it. That is what THEY think matters to the fans.
It does crack me up watching that Blairs Breakdown and noticing how Daniel literally has to help RC insult him 😂
For the record, regardless of my other opinions, Daniel deserves that role and what RC and especially Diffey did is absolutely pathetic.
I am bummed because the twitter account I used to follow has been deleted. It went by the handle "bigzippy" centered around that horrible sports coat RC used to wear in the booth back in the day.

The only thing I would have recommended to Daniel is that he still should have taken advantage of the Race Day Live spot to pimp his new SXU and push his feelings about the "no qualifying/race talk" aside because that is great earned coverage to his target market (assuming that was the case and he wasn't 86'd completely for a different reason). Then continue to light the world on fire.
kinda sounds like disappointment in unmet expectations, what he wanted and how he envionsioned it in his mind didnt match what others were planning. No big issues in that, just a bummer, i enjoyed listening to his calls, he did good, but honestly dont think corporate media fit him. doing his own version is good and he should run with that.
