Smith has yet to win a race this season - I mean an actual race not a Triple Crown overall - and you're seriously picking him for the title? Davies, Beaumer and Deegan all have him covered in speed also.
That is a massive, huge, gigantic 'if'.
From their 2018 standings it would be a shocker that they are both in regional championships still. Good for them to have the opportunity still, even if their career aspirations were higher

It's because he's won a lot of 250 supercross races. Yes, he crashes, but nobody can say he lacks speed.
I’d say Jordan has a slightly better shot at it than Austin. First, Jordan is already 4 races in and he’s not hurt and right in the points chase.
Austin has more competition, more races to run and potentially get hurt in and over the years has had more trouble finishing a series.
But, yes both could win their titles…. Odds aren’t in favor of it though.

So many call them East Coast or West Coast. Many of the rounds are no where near the East Coast or West Coast, like Texas, Indiana, Colorado and Michigan. The title says "Triumph will win both coast."
I would think Smith would have taken Deegan over the berm, given the chance that Juju had.

How about this: I think the bike and team are competitive enough to win the titles; but can the riders, who both have reputations for wadding, pull it off?

What's weird about pulling for a guy that has the goods if he can keep the rubber side down? I think the guy might just adapt really well to a 450 at this point.
I’m rooting for him too. It’s just weird how people think he’s all of a sudden gonna be great. I’d love to see him win a bunch of races and ultimately the championship.

For many years forkner has been the fastest in the class but always seems to get hurt, he is a threat to win every time he is on the gate.
If he gets through healthy, it’s hard to not see him in the fight.
All of a sudden? He's the winningest rider in the class buy a long shot. He won the first race last year and was leading the second race before the crash. He was "all of a sudden great " when he entered 250SX.

I don't get you guys. The kid nearly died last year. Underwent SERIOUS brain surgery, and you still think he's going to be the same guy or even better? Not a chance. Watching his riding videos he definitely looks slower than he has in years past. Maybe he's just less erratic on the bike now? But he doesn't project his speed through his body language anymore.
