Obama's terms as President were before the 2016 presidential campaign.

Of course Hellary Clinton was embracing it in 2016 - she was trying to get elected and was seen as the front runner.

But you said:

Screenshot 20250219-001001-912

So where is your example that identity politics came from her before Obama embraced it?

I'm not going to waste too much time on this, the point is that Hillary went all in on identity politics to counter Bernie's economic politics in the primary and because her control of the party was so complete it all went that direction (losing).

She didn't invent it, neither did Obama, maybe it was Rush Limbaugh, or MLK, or the suffragettes, or the KKK, or the Confederates, or the Pilgrams, or the Visagoths, or the Romans, or the Greeks, or Egyptians.

Yeah it's been around forever and has had little boosters here and there from both sides. Gingrich kicked off a booster in the 90's documenting the "value" of weaponizing language in public, just search for, "language, a key mechanism of control".

i have a buddy that is a massive lib and works for Texas Parks/WIldlife. I try not to smile watching him squirm knowing damn well his job is in serious jeopardy. He's a nice enough guy and I wouldn't wish a job loss on anyone (him included) but my selfishness is happy about all this (despite the short term pain to many) as this is pretty much the only way to return the USA to its previous glory and sustainability. The deficit must be fixed or the US will cease to exist at some point.

TPW is state, not federal.

Same with or state's TWRA.

Had major dealings with the NPS while we we fighting the backcountry camping fee/reservation system they were instituting in the smokies.

We definitely found out they were just as corrupt as every other federal agency.

Cronyism, corrupt financial dealings, allowing certain groups to operate for profit businesses in our park, kickbacks on those businesses.

A former senator and the previous park superintendent in cahoots with a cell service co, allowing cell relay systems installed on firetowers inside the park.

And the cell co paying a fee directly to both parties.

Dug up the same kind of deals on the grand canyon national park.

We now have a ranger force in the park, nicknamed "radar rangers".

Sitting around corners running radar traps.

Coming into backcountry camping sites at the crack of dawn checking for permits.

Crony tour guide services pre reserving choice backcountry sites for their paying customers, whether they use them or not.

REI being the biggest guilty party of this tactic.

It's all about the money.

Just like every other agency.

Goebbels worked that out in the 1920s!

I've found them to be pretty solid here.

Not many dealings with parks, but game dudes seem to think like us.

They want us to teach kids how to hunt and fish, and they show it.

I've seen corrupt dealing in the NPS but it was mostly when handing out vendor contracts. On the day to day they're usually good people.

This is what I'm saying originally, Texas Parks and Wildlife are STATE not FEDERAL.

Joey's buddy works for the state of Texas,  not the U.S.

His job shouldn't be in jeopardy.

A DOGE dividend? This guy proposes that 80% of the savings from DOGE goes to pay the debt and the other 20% goes to TAX PAYING citizens. If you do not pay taxes, you do not get a chunk of the DOGE savings. Up to $5000 perhaps. He argues it will incentivize folks to get a job and feel like they have skin in the game.

Interesting.

I'd love to see it happen as it would maybe cover the added C.O.L that Americans are dealing with these days.

That brings up a question actually, when is the cost of living going to come down as promised would happen on day one? Still waiting for their heads to spin? Are Big Oil and Big Farms listening to Trump and not lobbyists yet? Are we still being ripped off? It's a TOTAL SCAM!

I’m watching an administration that’s pursuing everything that they said they would.

When I compare what I’m seeing now versus the unbelievably epic fail, grift, new wars, abandonment of common sense, attacks on our freedoms and all the fucking gender insanity that was forced down our throats….over the past 4 years…?

Well, with that in mind, it’s easy to respond with this…

Brother, you’ve sure picked a funny time to declare it’s a Total Scam! 🤣

Manny, I am just using Trumps own words.

I voted for Trump to fix the problems our fellow Americans are struggling with most, day to day expenses. The last admin fucked it all up beyond belief and our guy ran on the platform of being for the common man/family, and he is tackling things that need to be fixed, but none of it points to him doing anything to ease the pain our middle class in America is feeling.

DOGE is great, but it does fuck all for us until the tax code is adjusted, which I hope happens.

What happened to no tax on OT? Isn't that just a pen stroke issue?

I'm just truly curious as I am obviously not on the up and up with the news as much as you guys are around here.

Did he really say FIXED on day one?   Or he would start work fixing it on day one?   And what is the definition of FIXED?

While if he DID say it in that manner you have a point but Im curious if you held the diaper wearing dementia patient to this level of scrutiny for the nonsensical and oftentimes unintelligible blather that fell out of his mouth for four years.

He said he'd fix it "in 24 hours".  That is equal to 1 day no matter how you try to interpret it.

Did he forget? Highly unlikely.... Run into resistance, I'm sure, as anything President Trump does will get resistance from the left... just look at them having a hissy-fit over reducing the size of Government and pulling back the curtain on all of the fraud, waste and abuse of our tax dollars. It still amazes me that any tax payer would resist that... Unless there's something in it for you (not you personally...).

So exactly what would be your plan to fix the Egg prices in 24 hours that skyrocketed under the Biden administration??

Lay out your plan and maybe we can pass it along to POTUS.

3 weeks, who had 3 weeks as the estimate on how quickly democrats would be blamed for any potential Trump short-coming

You brain death moron, Trump makes fake and impossible promises. But the people who point it out, needs to write plans to make it possible. 🤣

While if he DID say it in that manner you have a point but Im curious if you held the diaper wearing dementia patient to this level of scrutiny for the nonsensical and oftentimes unintelligible blather that fell out of his mouth for four years.

His words. I voted for Trump as I despised the previous administration after seeing behind the curtain, so I voted for the guy who campaigned on the promise to fix the economy for the American people, and tighten up the reigns on all of this dei non-sense. Other things as well, but those will take time and I hope they happen.

I've shit on the guy plenty, but he is who I picked and I hope he comes through on his promises.

And yes, this is real, no photchop here.

Trump said he will fix it on day one. Did he forget, or is he running into resistance he didn't anticipate and or can't control?

Did he forget? Highly unlikely.... Run into resistance, I'm sure, as anything President Trump does will get resistance from the left... just look at them having a hissy-fit over reducing the size of Government and pulling back the curtain on all of the fraud, waste and abuse of our tax dollars. It still amazes me that any tax payer would resist that... Unless there's something in it for you (not you personally...).

3 weeks, who had 3 weeks as the estimate on how quickly democrats would be blamed for any potential Trump short-coming

LOL... potential shortcomings? What shortcomings? He saving this country BILLIONS in tax fraud/waste/abuse, stopping illegal immigration (no, not 100%, but 93+%), getting more hostages freed from hamas terrorists and Russia, downsizing the government, trying to put an end to the Ukraine war, etc... and your complaining about something he hasn't gotten to yet, because that's all you have to hang your hat on. Damn my dude, the dems were hollering like banshee's on day ONE! You and I (and everyone else) know, even if you can't admit it, can see that the left will criticize anything President Trump does. They've been doing since 2016 and continue down that same old tired path.
