I was hoping someone on the broadcast team would send James down to the field to meet his brother at the podium. As much as I hate the split screen, it would have been exciting to watch James racing to get down to the field at the same time Malcolm was cruising around to win his first 450 main event.
I was hoping someone would go talk to Sezton
I'll bet KR had a lot to say as well.
I'm glad that James didn't go down there. This was Malcolm's moment. Showing James emotion in the booth and having James interview Malcolm through the stadium speaker system was enough.
Was thinking that too, but that Stadium is huge so getting from the broadcast booth (suite level) all the way down to the Stadium floor, get through the crowds, security, etc I don't think he would have made it in time. Pretty long walk.
At least they let James interview his brother, that was awesome to see how happy James (and pretty much everyone) was for Malcolm.

Rokzen and Sexton were so fortunate to not get hurt bad.
It was Malcom’s moment and James was working.
Would have been impossible for James to get down there in a timely manner. He was still interviewed by James and I’m sure that was a good enough moment for the both of them
Let Malcolm have his own moment
NO Kroc was too busy bitching at Benny for his own mistake.
I think they did as good as they could given the circumstances. It was awesome to see the emotion for both even if separated.
All I saw after the race was GREAT tv moments, all the different teams giving him big hugs
I'm sure startbutton is referring to the main event crash with lappers (I see the blame on that being spread equally between KR and the rider to his left - guy to his right was just collected up in it) ( if you're lapping guys, you got to leave some room for error). Also pretty sure that after KR had a chance to see the heat video, that he would realize it was just a "racing incident".
hell,
even Jason Anderson got in on it, and looked sincere when he did it.....
I thought it was handled very well, like the shot of the booth that showed all 3 announcers....
and after all these years, it isn't like they had a plan for when mookie beat cs4, cw2, ja21, et3, and kr94 on a dry track
it was a cool thing to watch.....
