>>>(edit) and then you will all say Dungey was "riding for the championship"
Nope, Bubba would panic at not being in the lead and try to pass instantly - no matter what. In the process he would probably take out 3 innocent bystanders and put himself out of yet another series
Great fishing DV12, perfect bait.

Add Villapoto into the mix and you're going to have a lot of 450 guys that are in the top 5 - 10 going backwards next year.
Isn't Antonio coming over next year? He'll win races.
And whoever the guy is who was talking about asterisks... c'mon dude, give us all a break. THere is no asterisk. And asterisk would be Langston's 125 outdoor title.
Applying your logic, EVERY champion would have an asterisk because there are contenders injured every year.
As they say..."that's why they run the race..."
I think I heard him or an credible industry person saying in an interview that it was a 1 year contract with an option for the 2nd year.
I think he knew he would retire at the end year from the very beginning (isn't his agreement to run the SuperX for 3 years and 2010 will be the 3rd time he will race them?) but he planned to go out holding the #1 plate, but when the title became an uphill battle, he realized he doesn't have the same drive to be as consistent as he has always been. I wish him to win one more moto or round of the Nationals before the end of the year.
From the videos on TWMX it seems he still has fun riding and the facts (qualifying of 2010 Daytona SX and the race of 2010 Vegas SX) show he has the speed, but what made him successful was his determination / resiliency to be in the title chase no matter what, and this year he seems not have it anymore. I wish him to win one more round before the end of the Nats.
In the real world of actual racing, James Stewart is incapable of racing with out destroying himself physically approximately every other year. It is literally part of his racing style and is the reason he has only 1 AMA big bike outdoor title and 2 supercross titles in 6 years of racing.
There are varying opinions as to his speed when he manages to keep himself in competition, but the fact is, he only does that about 50% of the time. It demonstrates either a lack of tactical savy on his part or a rebellious streak that refuses to race "smarter." It's his choice either way.
