Roczen TRT?

Edited Date/Time 1/20/2025 1:30pm

I’m a huge Roczen fan. He stuck around and waited for a friend to sign an autograph at a dealer signing well past the closing time and was so pleasant while waiting. Great human.
Anyone else notice his voice is significantly deeper? He’s taking more risks and he’s not fading out mid race. He’s got that fire back. I’m all for it.
Not looking to get into a war. I’m wondering if anyone here can attribute going faster and feeling more comfortable on the bike to their personal TRT usage? Anyone that’s tried it care to chime in?

Poll

Is he on TRT?

There’s no way to tell if he is. I’m sure all these guys get tested regularly by wada.

No, Ken is just badass. Because of the crash, we never got to see his potential. How different the record books would be. But I have always thought it possible that he could finally completely heal and show his true potential. He does look very good right now.

I thought I heard somewhere that he acquired a factory voice box just before the start of the season.

I'd imagine it would be pretty easy to get a therapeutic use exemption whether his test levels were low or not. Not accusing him of anything though

Not sure about pro SX/MX’s policy, but TRT is not considered for a TUE for many sports.  It doesn’t lower people’s voices anyway and generally does not improve performance in those without hypogonadism.

Interestingly, some male athletes with high training loads can see a drop in total testosterone levels…sometimes to an extreme level that’s consistent with hypogonadism, eg Exercise Hypogonadal Male Condition (EHMC). Whether this benefits from being treated with TRT is speculative and an area of active research.

Im saying no chance. I have a buddy that does TRT and its extremely obvious. If Ken's trapezius ever start looking like hes shoulder shrugging an SUV than I'll change my answer.

He's admitted to being on the raw milk though, turns out industrial food products disrupt your hormones.

I’d bet my life that somewhere along the way, he’s done testosterone.

Lots of misinformation about TRT. When used to bring T levels to within normal human ranges (under 1000 typically) it doesn’t increase performance/muscle building etc etc. Bringing someone from a clinically lower level to a natural level can increase those aspects but only to something approximating average.

If you are already within a natural level (e.g. 500) and use TRT to get up to say, 800, you really won’t notice much difference either. It’s only at the suprahuman levels that you see great increases in muscle building, recovery etc. Talking like 1500+ here, which you won’t get from TRT unless your doctor is purposefully looking the other way.

Ok rant over

If it’s obvious, then he’s on more than trt. Most guys that are willing to cycle test will cycle other stuff on top of it. Or run test on top of their cycle I should say

Not a rant, just some good info.
Using TRT to get back to within "normal range" isn't going to yield the results a lot of people are thinking. All it will really do is make you feel like you did when you were younger and recovered quicker. It's not some magical thing. In my experience, it just made my workouts yield what I would consider results equal to effort and input. Just my experience though.

So someone wanting to get their testosterone results within normal range will be willing to cycle "other stuff" on top of it? Maybe the guys who were already on the REAL STUFF lol.

In my experience most dudes on legit TRT are just wanting to feel normal again man. Wow.

The number is less important than the symptoms,  you're shutting down your own production, so guys that take too little are doing it for nothing.

Treat the symptoms.

And just to clarify, I 100% agree with you. And I have no issues with anyone running gear either.

watching UFC since Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 2 , UFC fighters are known for taking TRT , more so all the kickboxers & muai Thai fighters tht are Brazilian who are well known to be on TRT , Anderson Silva , Vitor belfort , Jose Aldo etc….. during Vitor’s prime run of finishing guys in the 1st rd & just getting ma fuckas outta there , it was well known he was on TRT , now technically TRT is not really a banned PED substance but it was somewht frowned upon in the MMA community , in case a point one of RDA’s last fight I think it was against mateuz gamrot , my cousin hit me up during tht fight & was like “ I guess RDA is back on tht TRT “ long story short , if KENNY was on TRT , he wouldnt have waited tht long to pass coop & let Eli & Jett pass both of them & in fact he would’ve passed coop , took the fuck off & jett & Eli would’ve been battling for 2nd & same for A1 when chase stalled , TRT gives u an early boost & then maintains wht u already have. also for the record I have sparred in the mix of me playing football & moto’ing down in the summer , ive sparred with kickboxers , Brazilian ju jit su guys & Greco Roman wrestlers who were on TRT , the shit ain’t fun…. so I kno who’s on TRT & who’s not on TRT

I suppose its technically possible, but not that I've seen in my circle that are on it, even with guys who are over 500+ mg a week for bodybuilding.
