1977 CR125.
Now I just have to make the deal. Might take a while as the kid wasn't really thinking of selling it. The amazing this is it's all there except the front number plate. From what I can tell, it got the original chain, sprockets, tires, fenders, cables, grips, seat cover etc. There is no noticeable wear on the shifter or rear brake pedal and as anyone that's owned one of these knows, they wear fairly quickly. The paint on the frame and engine is barely worn and it even has the chain cover still intact. (these were usually cut or broken off)

His father has an original 73' 250 and 74' 125 stored in his basement. he's the original owner and they've been stored since 75'!!! I'll work on getting those later lol.

Neat, my dad had one of those back in the day. I tried to ride it a couple of times but could barely pull in the clutch. Good times.

If it makes you feel any better my dad (stepdad) was 16 when I was born. He still had the bike in the late 80s when I first started riding. Anyways I'll stop using "my dad had one" quotes.Laughing

Well, I finally got the guy to sell it but by the time that happened I lost interest and besides, the last thing I need right now is another project. Are any of you guys interested in this bike? If so I can help with the details. I'll take detailed pictures and maybe help him crate the bike if a deal is made.

He was looking to get $600.00 (Canadian) last I spoke to him. Let me know if you are interested and I'll put you in touch with him.

77s and 78s were pretty much identical. In 79' came the major redesign, with a completely new bike and engine. I think first year for the plastic tank was 1980.

That is a sweet find.
I had restored a 1976 back in 1988. it was (in my opinion) 95% show room.
Sold it for $750.00 : (

That's very cool. I was on mini bikes then but I remember them running around all around me. LOL!

Gee Larry, how much did you weigh back in 1982, maybe about 215lb ?
