Are you running a KTM 65 swingarm / shock combo?

I picked up an '83 CR60 about a year ago, and have been wondering about suspension options.

People used to talk about these motors being a lot meaner than the KX60s in the '90s when I was a teen. They were already old and hard to come by. I never got to try one since I didn't ride dirt bikes until I was full-on adult size at 13.

That's interesting, because all the archived reviews talk about how the CR60 was down on power compared to the KX60. From my own personal experience, I can confirm that it is nasty fast; it scares me far more than my 350. I rarely make it out of 2nd gear on the CR 60, haha.

Cobra front and rear everything the rear took a little bit of fab work. And it’s also a cobra 65 pipe

It definitely has potential considering it’s the exact same bottom end as a cr 80

We had one it had more guts than a KX.  We had redone ours and someone broke into our shop and stole it, been decades ago.  Still heartbroken on that one.

The 83 was kinda a dog vs the kx60 the 84 had better porting head setup and a 2mm bigger carb. Along with more suspension travel by a good inch and a half. I had an 84 long ago in the 80's.

The kx60 liquid cooled was better because it didn't suffer from heat fade. Like air cooled engine's do. Very few pics exist of some liquid cooled cr60 prototype button was riding in 84. No details on it.

Grandpa picked up up an 84 model in 87.  I was 6 years old and a "Sesoned" pw racer by then.  I was so small I couldn't even come close to touching the ground.  My dad would either hold me up or bring milk crates to the gate.  I remember getting an 87 KX60 in 90.  I was still extremely small and the Kawasaki fit me much better.  Obviously I was extremely young but I remember the CR being the faster bike.

Working at a Honda dealer in 1985 saw a mechanic test ride one.  Quick whack of throttle and he was running behind it, holding the bars, saving it from hitting the building.
