Palmdale looks nice! Too bad it only looks like that a month out of the year.

Sweet vid.

I'll have to figure out exactly where that is. All the old Palmdale 'pirate' tracks we used to ride have been shut down over the years. Anyone know if the old Kenny Zhart tracks across the wash are still there ... and not a bust?

Actually, it only looks nice because you're seeing it with a smoker in the foreground. Take the bike away, and Palmdale's a dusty dump. It was nice back in the day, though...until the 80's housing boom hit.

How fricken nice to be able to ride your bike from the house to your area without the cops chasin' ya...
Use to be a MX track in Palmdale or Adelanto 395; heard it was closed...Remember it having shade built over the starting line; always liked that place.....just heard it was closed and another track running in Palmdale in its place.???
Thanks for the KC video; like the old days; ride your dirt bike to your riding area without fear of cops threating to take your bike away.
Two smokes are slow and too loud.

care to reconsider that? LOL

my CR500AF with a Q silencer meets gormans 96db sound check at 95.6
(been tested plenty of times)

and i'm fairly certain equals or exceeds any of the four fiddies in power, or accelaration?
even with thier stock LOUD exhausts..
and it would likely really eat them up. when they are running an exhaust that meets the 96dB regulations.

last time i looked down between my legs and checked , it was a two stroke, wasn't loud , and certainly wasn't slow...

250XC might have a little work done with a grinder and he runs a FMF pipe and shorty the SX ignition is an option. I can assure of you this for about the same money as a full Ti Pipe system for a four stroke you could have the same motor that Kurt runs.

I'm pretty sure I want one....but I want to ride one first. Where's that going to happen??? I thought I might relieve you of having to haul the Bailey rep home from A2, but we didn't get hooked up.

Where's Rich Cain when you expect him?

"Um. The promoter put the tree in the track and I was too stupid NOT RIDE THE TRACK AFTER I CHECKED IT OUT or duck. I can sue him, right?"

Musgrave rode one of yours? Very neat.

I'll email you. If that new owner doesn't show up, track me down. I could easily drop over there and pick it up.

The rider I was sponsorin' and wrenchin for rode one of those Service Honda 500's at a local race in think was Illinois...1999.
The guy(think he was maybe the promoter) that loaned him the bike wanted someone to beat Tommy Hofmaster, who rode someone else's Service 500 and Hof hadn't got beat....until that day. The guy was estatic that his bike finally won..
My bud mentioned how the bike vibrated so bad....his hands were practically numb.
I love how with the Bailey rep they look and hope they don't vibrate like them older ones did. Just starting 'em up, boy at least this one shook bad.
Now Mark, you got someone good to break it in for ya....Cool you're so stoked about it...Hope ya get it.

Scott Davis.

That promoter's name. ME/

the bike vibrated like that because yours' truely had broke the head stay the week before over jumping a triple and flat landing the shit out of it and didn't know it.

Tommy was riding my brother in laws service a/f 500, and Scott was riding mine. In fact I will never forget after tommy beat scott in the first moto. I walked up to Scott and said...."hey you see that number on that bike your riding, it don't get beat by that number" LOL it was absolutely all in fun, Scott went out and rocked in the second moto and did well earned a few bucks. That day was the day I got into a heated discussion with Ryan Clark as he accused me of not paying the purse as advertised, he and I likely will never agree on that, but you know i am a promoter so of course wrong.

here is the link to the story of the race that day named "Battle of the Big Boars" it was on a MOnday the 5th of july and was the next day after Red Bud. It was 105 in the shade, track dried out all day and sucked. BUt it was a blast. Here is the link, and I have a video of it but no idea how to post it up.

Tommy is on the Number 3 bike in this picture below. it really wasn't about Tommy and Scott but the two bikes LOL>.

A couple of years ago when I was entertaining the thought of a job out there, someone told me that Palmdale was full of meth-labs and crack-heads.

Didn't see any in this video!

Nice!

I wouldn't mind seeing that vid.

Wardy, shoot Bob ( Bobby M ) a pm and he'll post it up.

Bob's a 500 guy to the core.

I'd love to see AJ do a nice vid of one of his 500s - by itself - doing pro level starts off the line just so we can hear the thing clearly getting up and hitting warp speed.

Oops....didn't know it was YOU Wardy...This is too funny...I'm laughin' so hard...Give me a sec to get one foot outta my A$$.
You ain't kiddin' small world...Remember race like yesterday.
I remember you coming up to Scott and asking him to ride your Service Honda 500 for that "Big Boar" class and wanting to beat your bro-in-laws bike also a Honda 500 Service one Hof rode... 'member Scott saying how his hand were numb from the vibration...
That pic of Scott is that big tabletop close to the finish...Hof's is right after that where the finish was I think, then you came up to some whoops, if remember correctly.
I don't remember how we found out about your race, but after Red Bud being sooo hot and we were on the way home, decided to come...seemed like it was out in the sticks. Still race that track?? Can't remember name; seemed like Buffalo, Wild Boar...something like that; whatever.
You guys despite the seering heat did a good job with the track from what I remember. Fun except too hot.
I remember the Clark deal and how we just wanted to go home since the sun was down and coolin' off.
Thanks again for lettin' Scott ride that Big Boar class and make some extra dough; you're good people. Already knew that just chattin' here...
Ironic, you a promoter....So is Scott.
I'm sure he'd like to see the vid as much as me; if you ever have time; maybe make a copy and I pay ya for it. If not, no big deal...
Now I got some biz to take care of; taking the other foot outta my A$$...so ironic.
