-Southwick when Dungey’s RMZ wouldn’t start
-RC and KW at Washougal (can’t remember the year, but RC was still on a 2-stroke and KW was on the 4-stroke). Epic battle.
-Atlanta 1990. Legendary.
-LA 92. Despite my favorite rider at the time not grabbing the title, watching Stanton go out and win like a boss when that was the only way he could put himself in a position for the title was legendary, particularly after his crappy heat race.
I'd swap the RC-KW race from 01 instead.... 03 windham just walked away because his bike was plain better.
That's a good one! Totally forgot about it, and I was there.
If Dunge rode that aggressively in every race, I think it's safe to say RV wouldn't have quite so many outdoor titles. He was going so freaking fast that moto.

I just watched this, if you haven't seen it, take 7 minutes and watch it! Obviously British arenacross probably doesn't sound like excitement, but there are several household names in it and it's chaos the entire time!
Followed rogers’ link to the Marty Moates USGP and found the ‘84 USGP in the suggested videos. 30 minutes of old school works 500s with almost no talking from the announcers.

Edit:
The 125 class race is epic one too with Chiodi, Puzard, Nunn and Vuilemin
One winter I got to ride with both of them in the hills of Southern California quite a bit. They rented a house in Lake Elsinore together. This was back before public practice tracks were open daily. We showed them our tracks in the hills around Lake Elsinore and Canyon Lake. So many great memories of riding in the hills with the stars of the sport back in the 90s.
Dude, that is awesome. The 90’s were my favorite era to ride. I bet you saw all kinds of pros back then. Thanks for sharing!
I've been feeling bit under the weather from a flu and been out office. I just watched this collection if race recaps from 1997 to kill the time. I don't know if just me being nostalgic but MXGP racing was so much better in the 90's. Awesome tracks with full starting gates and a lot of audience. Now it's just few bikes riding around in flat rutty tracks with much less audience...
Craziest race I have ever seen in person. It was so loud in that stadium!!
It was deafening. I don't know how the riders could focus. Great race.
1990 AtlantaSx, 2002 Pontiac Sx, 2014 Toronto Sx
My first National points that day. 16/13. Ran into Dowdy at Chili's later and we high fived a sick day!
Yea dude you had some pretty solid rides. I remember watching you at nesc in the early 2000’s
Thx man. '97 holds the most value over any other, because the dream came true that day.
2014 GH MX opener underrated good 1
