Don't know if these have been posted before...

Ran across these photos of the Ranch and Western Town from her website. WOW.....

Bottom of paved road leading to her house and WT.

The mild Waterfall just before the what use to be the old Iron Bridge...

See the other photos here...

I think that was back in April or May.........be kinda scary if you lived some where like that where you were trapped in as something like that unfolded.

Out of total coincidence, I met a two kids (brother and sister) who go to the same orthodontist as my daughter (he was wearing a ATV GNCC T), and they were there like a few days before for the LL's ATV GNCC and said the water was already really high and areas were flooded and by the time they left it was getting really bad

Supposed to all be fine now

But I am sure everything got a good "cleaning out"

Every year there is a Loretta Lynn flood story......

The Shop

I live in middle TN, and have since 84, and have never seen it flood this bad, they are calling it the 200 yr flood, but we got 14 inchs of rain in 24 hrs, and theres not many places in the usa that can handle that much rain and not flood,
Every year at Lorrettas it rains, usually one day per week, sometimes light rain others a strong thunderstorm, but you can always count on the mid 90s temps, and 75% or higher humidity, hot as hell , in other words lol, but the racing is always awesome, and i always manage to get a day off during that week and go watch races all day, so in about 5 weeks or so , ill make another drive down hwy 13 and attend again

I know this happened back a few months ago, just found them on LL's web site.

The raw power of water is very impressive and very destructive all at the same time. We had a flash flood in Ark a month ago that killed 20 people in a camp ground, very sad.

Amazed at what flood waters can do....

Hea jeffro503, not Noah it's Justin Time... Smile

At some places, but if I remember correctly most of the top soil at LL is a trucked in 'mulch' dirt mix. This may be completely false but I certainly remember the distinct smell of wood and plenty of mulch like material when I was walking the track their a few years back.

At other places washouts often bring with them more soil than they take with. I used to get a chubby when our local track would wash out!

As for the flood? I just call it track prep..
