The event doesn’t need haiden to sell out and he came along so late looking for a payday  the promoters don’t see a benefit in paying him to come race when it would affect there bottom line.

It’s not that hard to understand which why I’m a bit baffled by your response.

Everything you said is true, but to be clear — the article also states that a part of the reason for denying Haiden the money was because of past comments and interactions with the Deegan’s.

Let’s not gloss over that.

So what?  It's a private event and they are part of the decision process with financial decisions.  In this case, they voted to not pay him to come.  They also aren't the only ones who get to decide.  It's a group.

Remember the McGrath invitations race Summercross?  I am sure he wasn't inviting anyone he had a personal issue with.

To be clear, I am not a huge fan of the Lawrences.  I think Hunter cries a lot and his comments about the media a couple years ago were ridiculous. This combined with Jetts attitude about the Anderson run in was bananas.  I hope Jett get's an ego check this year from someone.....hopefully Tomac.

If you’re making a business decision and it doesn’t make financial sense, then you have to look at other reasons on why you should still do it anyway and relationships will play a roll in that. So yes, they are humans and emotions can play a factor in whether or not they’re willing to make less money to pay someone who hasn’t been cool with them.

The article also states that none of the riders exchanged words about any of this, by the way. I don’t think it’s that deep and leans mostly into a rushed timeline and business decision at the end of the day.

All of what you said played a roll. No doubt about it. Hopefully Deegan makes it in 2025.

You can add to the list - in Jett's case - elevating the art of motocross and supercross riding to new levels.

Also, and importantly, representing their country when asked to - and winning.

You seem to think that because I'm a Deegan fan that I'm not a fan of the Lawrence's, which is not true.

So, main takeaways from this.

. Agents; douches

. Kooksey; massive douche, hopefully he goes away and we never hear from him again

. Duffe; douche

. Ellie Reid; massively bitter douchette

. ML; solid, trusted. Feel sorry for him having to wade through this shitswamp

. Both rabid fanbases: absolute psychos, need to chill.

Agents jobs are to get the best return for the people they represent, that may mean being a douche to get the desired result.

Man surprised you dont think this is hearsay and more "kooksey" garbage.  Just kidding since it goes against your agenda to take your feelings out of it for deegan. So how does this appear to be true when cooksey never posts anything true? Come on Don take your feelings out of it. Lmfao

You can come back now instead of hiding and admit your strong feelings towards one rider got in the way of facts and the truth. That you just assumed. Might as well admit you watched a cooksey video too since Steve never mentioned Anderson once during any of this. Can just admit you're a hypocrite too while your at it or do we need screenshot proof? No one forgets how you acted towards "zero fact and 100% speculation" in the lacr thread.

Don won’t be back , he makes a fool of himself gets proven wrong and goes missing , I think he will be back on the star don’t attend the nations that’s why deegan can’t go , or he needs surgery to recover in time for sx narrative 😂🤡

Read ML's article.

Read page one, skipped to this current page.

Quite sure I missed nothing in between.

Guy's want to help revive, and grow a home event back to prominence.

Business decisions are made.

Heads explode.

Typical of our world today.

Maybe Deegs can get some start money and headline a round of Arenacross. I’m sure the fans would love to see Captain America do a home race with Vince Friese.

I guess some folks are only seeing part of ML’s hard work. Despite the members attempts to compartmentalize it as strictly a business decision the Lawrence camp itself points to past regressions of DangerBoy himself as part of the reason for the rug being pulled.

It's a financial decision based on the fact that the event is already sold out, paying Haiden large sums of cash to appear is not financially smart when they will receive no benefit from it. Also he was going to be in SX2 and his closest competition would have been McElrath about 5 seconds a lap back from him. Wouldn't look great for the whole show.

Now if it was announced way earlier, and he was on a 450......now you got yourself a money maker

Let’s not gloss over that.

I dunno how this going to get through you thick skull but yes they denied paying him a large contract to come race, but he could still race if he wanted to on his own dime.

The promoters are there to make money on the event. Paying haiden this late in the game when they won’t sell more tickets or be able to market his appearance would be foolish as it would affect there bottom line.

my sense is that with better timing on the negotiations (mid summer) and a commitment from Deegan they would have had an agreement.  But Deegan coming in 2 weeks before the event looking for a big pay day when the event is nearly sold out doesn’t make financial sense.

Nobody is denying they had input in the situation (through there agents). Let’s play this out..

You are the Lawrence’s and I’m Deegan.  It’s two weeks before the event that’s nearly sold out and has been marketed for months. I come knocking at your door, ‘hey Mxaddic my wrist is feeling good and I’d like to come race, will you pay me 100,000 to come race?’

Your response: ‘sorry deegs your a little late to the game, you’ve been a douche to us in the pass so nah I don’t think it will work this time, maybe in the future if we get the ball rolling earlier. ‘

The Deegan’s brought this on themselves. You can’t always run your mouth and get what you want. Maybe they will back down the Mcgregor persona.

Sips coffee

Scrolls down “Moto”

Sees this thread has made it to 18 pages talking about absolutely nothing.

LOLing as I type…

“Come on! You can do it! 20 PAGES!” 🤣

This thread may as well be about the following: What’s Cardi B’s Best Song?   (BTW…Answer: there is no such thing!)

So if this about the money, why doesn't Deegan just step up to the real money class and ride a 450? Could line his pockets, put questions to rest and dominate the globe.

Well, maybe!

Maybe not!!

If that's the way it happened OK.

But it didn't!

It doesn’t matter who started the conversation. AusX clearly would want a rider like haiden there under the right conditions. They had conversations months ago that went no where at the time. Both parties had a number in mind and ausX was apparently lower then what Haiden’s was.  They couldn’t come to an agreement. I don’t think it’s anything more or less then that.  If both parties agreed on a number whatever it was haiden would be there. They didn’t so he’s not.

after how the deegans handled mxdn and his wrist injury no one was thinking he would want to race aus.
