That's good to hear, new counter balancer doing it's job.

It would be nice if they had an SR with a head, ign., pipe, etc.

Different part numbers so something is different on all 4 radiators. Then again it could be just the angle of the hose fittings .

Would the braces interfere with the routing of the radiator hoses?

I have no idea I just knew they had the parts up so you could compare.

What’s the verdict on the bike? I’m looking to sell my 24 kx450 to get one. I race gncc and the 450 can be a bet much.

I want less power but also don’t want tk be riding a snail as the shoot outs seem to think it is

Fun bike, just different than the 24’ and prior high-rev  KX250 generations. Good for you in the woods with more torque, gear usability, and the platform is the same/similar to your 24’ KX450 ergonomically. Personally, I’d keep your Brembo front brake assembly off the 450 and get a PC exhaust as soon as they become available; I have a feeling that Kawi left alot on the table with the stock 25’ KX250 unit

Well the front brembo mount to the 25 250 fork? That’s certainly something I’d do.
I have a vortex ready to map and definitely adding full system if I get one

Im in the same position as you. Got my 250 recently so I only got 1 hour on it yet. Comming from the kx 450 24 the 250 feels a bit different in the front and the engine is super smooth.. it feels pretty slow from the bottom in my opinion. A bit slower than my buddys 22 with a pipe.

I did the same laptimes as with my 450 in the woods so can't ccomplain. Bike feels much lighter ofcourse.

I think the stock silencer is shocked up and a different pipe will add power everywhere.

Does it turn just as well? The dead angle is half a degree slacker so I hope a bit more stable.

Yeah if turns great! Love the bike but would like to have a bit more hp on the bottom. But I think a pipe will do wonders for this bike.

I would think a Vortex as well. It seems to be in a very relaxed state of tune given the hardware. It does seem Kawasaki was at the limits of the old design and didn't want a rash of failures on the new one.

Anyone knows what parts from the previous generation fits in? Like triple clamps, wheels or foot pegs will fit?

I thought the same thing.   Strange.  And Keefer raves about how clean the stock map is yet they say the opposite.

Just read a french shootout this morning... They Said It has less top end than last year but more low and mid power. They put this motor in 2nd place behind KTM group. Chassis wise they said It is agile , turn great, and IS more Honda like!

Total opposite of dirtrider test (one more thing, It is not a free magazine...)

I got the bike and it is pretty damn slow. It got no bottom to mid. It is decent from mid to top but it is far off my -23 with a pipe that I had earlier.. Engine does not vibrate and rattle as the old does. I compared my bike to my friends kx250 -22 with a pipe yesterday and his bike feels like a 350 compared to mine :D I would guess mine lacks 5hp everywhere.. thats what it feels like anyway.

I got another friend that have a -25 and as he says "it is a enduro engine and not a mx engine".

So enginewise it is slow. I think it is the silencer that kills the power. I am waiting for a different pipe but it seem to be months away..

It is crazy that they "improved the low and mid range" ans It seems that It is worst! Also that some  riders have almost opposite point if view. Did you play with mapping ?

I am going for a japanese bike Next year and was leaning toward kawi, but maybe i should consider honda (but was septical about the engine) or even Yamaha (but don t like that noisy airbox)

If it’s like the 450 take a stepped drill bit and start making daylight through the side panels and airbox. It’s way way too closed off.

There is not a 250F MX bike made that does not produce competitive power for anything but the top levels of amateur racing and pro’s

It’s mostly subjective opinion. According to Keefer there is a placebo effect when it come to relating power output and sound levels.

I'm certain it's the muffler restricting some power. They lowered the decibels significantly to meet newer standards coming in. Just like the new gen KX450, guys were reporting a new muffler or removing some of the restrictions in the stock muffler made a huge difference.

Yeah it is weird but it will be interesting to see some dyno runs and also what another exhaust can do with the power. I am on the fence if I should try to mod the stock silencer or not. I think there is atleast 2 screens and some more stuff choking it.

I did remove the screens on my kx450 2024 and it got a bit more power and louder ofcourse. It didn't gain as much power as a HGS or PC did for it.

I love the bike, chassi, suspension  and  ergos is very good.. I am just missing some power.

I guess Kawi is first in line to keep the overlords happy. Serious racers will be upgrading just like the 450.
