That price point is a mistake on Triumph's part.

This is supposed to be a special edition bike, no? Price seems right on par

If its some sort of factory edition, special edition , sure.

Standard model?  too expensive compared to the competition.

exclusivity has it's threshold... I imagine the Ducati I am waiting on will be spendy, worth is relative.

It's an RC Factory Edition.

MSRP of the 450 RC edition is lower than the standard Husqvarna and KTM 450s in the US.

For this being an RC edition, best I can tell that is just a different graphics package, it is not like a factory edition like we see in other brands.  I am not at all saying that is lame, I own a heritage edition Husky, and would love an anniversary edition KX.  I am just sharing as I was looking at the cost comparison and was wondering if it had any fancy bits to go with the RC edition.

That's the impression I got, too. No performance bits, just cosmetics, like my '06 RM250 RC Edition... but at least the RM has the sweet gold rims! 🤘

It’s slightly above the graphics package editions but below FE/SR/WE bikes. It’s got different engine mounts and an exclusive EFI map, but besides that it’s graphics, clutch cover, ODI bars and MX34s instead of Pirellis
