Does someone know if there is a difference between the US and European version off the KX250?

All I’m reading in the European versions is those new sound rules off the FIM going from 112 to 109DB and because off that there is “lacking” power.

Didn’t heard or read any off those in the US reviews.

THIS!

It's a little disappointing when, dare I say, vital information such as this is left out of these tests, reviews etc. Most of the Europe press mentioned it. It's clear that modifying or replacing the stock muffler will open up a lot of performance as we saw with the latest gen KX450.

I didn't read or hear any mention of that with any of the media here.

I can't compare 250 muffler parts numbers but the 24-25 muffler is the same in both North America and Europe, safe to assume the same with the 250.

Perhaps a different muffler?  US reviews have no complaints about the power.  One European review I read liked the power as well.  It did say the engine improvements actually led to more total power over the outgoing model but that the muffler needed to meet that noise restriction brought the power back down to ‘24 levels (though with more low-mid). Maybe it’s just something being lost in translation.

I saw that review. I think he was speculating based off the KX450.

Looks like $500 mufflers are going to be selling in the EU like hotcakes.

The standard actually went from 115db to 112db for 2025.

Maybe it doesn't take as much restriction to bring a 250 4-stroke down to 112db as it does a 450.

3db difference would be half the sound intensity, that’s yuge.

Not to be insulting to Kawi lovers, but the 250 sounds like a pissed off bleating goat at 100hz, besides that no major complaints from the media. 👍🏻✊🏼

I have not seen anybody claim an increase in peak power.

Not feeling the hype for new bike, c’mon man

When will a PC exhaust be available? Any tuners get their hands on one yet?

It would seem they have left a bit on the table with the new engine in stock form/tune.

This was a nice review because this guy is not a pro and it relates more to your average buyer. The bike seems pretty solid but likely under sprung for heavy riders.

Might be a stupid question but does anyone know if the radiators are the same as the 24 450? Need rad braces but they only have available for the 450s. I assume they are the same.

The new engine seems to vibrate and rattle much less than previous models. Feels like kawi stepped it up a notch this time.
