Broke my thumb at Day in the Dirt down south this year! Didn’t even know they were putting on one at High Point, have fun!
Nice that they let you dry camp for free. They get you for $20 a night at the one down here.
That's awesome alphado. The imx racing crew will be there next to the tmc prostats rig
Wow, how can they fit in so many classes? Sounds lIke a great event. Good luck.

Nevermind that. How'd they get so many letters on that jersey?
I’m pretty sure I’ll be there!!
This weekend! We will be there Friday for practice.
I'll be there racing a few classes. I think the track layout sounds pretty cool.
Haven't been able to see your last three pictures.
Have fun! Post pics!
Track is gnarly! I hate shit in practice, bruises and scrapes. I’ll be feeling it in the morning. Joe hot the Holeshot in one of the pitbike races and had the lead until he crashed.
We expected it to be like the videos that we saw of the Florida event. Easy going, tamed down MX with some trails through the woods, beer stops, roads, etc. Turned out to be half the MX track with some gnarly single track through the woods.
I went down hard Friday in practice and got banged up. Had an early race Saturday morning, MX track was slick. I signed up for +50 Beginner/Novice 2-stroke but they ran all the 2-strokes together! Probably over 200 riders out there at the same time. I wasn't comfortable with the pros flying by me in the single-track so it was what is was. Sunday my son Joe and I did the Moto A Go Go race together. That was a little more spread out so it was fun. Cool band Saturday night.
Ton of people there, I hear 800 individual riders with over 2300 entries. It wasn't cheap, but we would probably go back next year with better class decisions.
Last race of the day was the Blackwater Survival Race. We made our own beer stop handing out Miller Lite to the guys coming by on the to hairpin turn where we were pitted.
Hat's off to Joe, his POS KTM 250SX wouldn't start again so he did it all on a KLX140.
Haven't camped at a track in probably 20 years. Is it the norm to have noisy generators running all night? That was annoying.
Does anyone know who was taking pictures to purchase?
Madmoosemoto I believe

Glad you guys had fun!
So do any of you guys know how the Vet MX segment went? It appeared to have started at 3pm and was a 1 moto, no practice format. That was the reason that I didn't go. I typically race the MX day at the normal Vet National and it's a day-long program. And each class entry gets you a practice and 2 motos. So I was just curious how that all was. If this is going to be the event that replaces the Vet National, moving forward, I would just like to hear about that part of the day, as that is what is most interesting to me. If I go next year, I would maybe consider doing the Buddy race GP, just so I am not sitting around all day. But if the MX segment is as much of an afterthought as it seems to be, then it still might not be worth it for me to even go down. Either way, it seems like it went over well and most ppl seemed to have fun, so that is cool.
Vets got a practice session than one moto. I will do that instead of the GP races on Saturday next year.
Ah ok. It's almost hard to imagine how they did that, within that time frame. Every other year, they are practicing by like 830am and it takes until like 2pm to get through practice and all of the moto 1's, even with staggered gates, in some cases. I just wasn't sure how they could pack all of that into 3-630pm window, before dark.
Probably 3 practice sessions and 10 motos. We watched it all and it went by quick. Wished we knew to sign up for them.
It would be cool if someone could share a quality photo of the 2stroke and still smoking race Saturday morning when everyone was lined up and the air was filled with premix. I was there and lived through three races during the event.
