Eli should do the open motos, going 1-1 is a high posibility, aaron racing mxgp class, he did finish a moto last year in 5:th. This one-time-moto with elis 1-1? and webb 5-5? (In mx2)  is enough for a podium place…?

Plessenger will have to bring his absolute best, A lot of pressure on him to perform.

Is it too early for a weather forecast for Matterley basin?

Keep in mind that it is likely going to be a wet weekend.

Yes too early as the forecast is changing daily but we have to accept that they'll probably at least some rain.

Current forecast for Sunday:

I don’t think that the team will win on their own merit, but they should podium and if something happens to another team US can bounce up.

-It really sucks that Hymas had to stay home, he put a lot of heart in to going.

- I hope for AP’s sake that he performes and that he beats Tomac in their combined moto just to show for him self and all the fans that he was a good pick.

- Good for Tomac that he stepped up and made it happen.

- Webb won me over a little by going now after all his ”i get payed to race so i race” comments and then dodging the nationals a couple of times.

I will still root for the Aussies but this year i will have US as a close second. I would hate to see AP have a bad weekend and then get flamed for it by the Americans. It seems that Eli and Webb can do no wrong in this, people are stoked just because they are there where all seem to have their eyes on AP.

Weekend forecast is dry Saturday, chance of rain Sunday PM for the later motos. Should be ok.

Issue is the rain we've had all week leading up to it, Winchester is a way from me but in South Wales it's been wetter than an otter's pocket..

I always use met office for weather, they've got it clear in the morning with increasing chance through the afternoon on Sunday.

I use Met Office too usually but it only gives an hour-by-hour forecast for 7 days, so currently that doesn't include Saturday & Sunday.

Has Eli beaten Jett outdoors this year, I know it was only a few races, but has he (serious question)? I don't remember if thewy raced each other.

Did you forget the part where Jett was out for half of the season while Eli only came back for the last three rounds? 😆

They have just raced one moto outdoors and that was the last moto at DesNations in 22 when Jett rode his first 450 race.

Tomac raced the mx1 class and Jett the open class.

In the mx1 vs open moto Jett ended second and Eli 6th.

Thank you, I couldn't remember if ET3 was at the first round then got injured or if he was injured in SX and missed all the early rounds.

I think the overarching theme with this years team is that they are all patriots and want to do it not just for them but for our country. Which, is what it's all about. Stoked to see it happen!

All the top 3-4 teams on paper have one or two things potentially holding them back.

Renaux’s form since coming back from injury has been patchy at best.  Vialle hasn’t exactly been on fire outdoors this year.

Herlings is riding with cracked ribs and Coldenhoff is a last minute replacement for Vlaanderen.

One of the Coenen brothers is out for Belgium.

Webb in for Hymas is probably a step forward for USA but Tomac for Sexton is probably a step back.

Australia has its first pick riders all healthy and in good form.  On paper we are right in there.

This is probably one of the most open MXDNs for years, with maybe Aus edging it in the betting stakes.

We know anything can happen, but let's be honest here: Jett will probably beat Eli, Hunter will probably beat AP, and even if Coop beats the Aussie 250 guy, he'll have to be several finishes ahead in each moto to make a difference. Australia FTW. It will be their first if they win it, right?

I'm not counting France out; it's just that those guys have won a lot lately. Time for a fresh winner!

I don’t have any social accounts and I can see the vids? And public pages. Coop is a legend for stepping up/down when all looked lost. He’s going to be top 3 250 is my prediction. Eli goes 1-1 and Ap has a solid 6-6 to take the overall.

How are you viewing?    I've not tried a mobile, I typically don't use mobile for viewing internet sites.     I've tried two different browsers.

All I get is this.    ...but doesn't matter,  thank you to the member who posted the youtbue link.    Coop lookin saucy.

You're forgetting Belgium and Nederlands. Both of those are really strong teams as well. It's going to be really open I think and teams like Switzerland, Germany, GB, Slovenia and Italy could all spring a surprise especially if the weather does what it's done here all year long and refuses to behave.

Sacha will be back behind the gate in the MXGP of Castilla la Mancha this weekend.

This is the most stacked MXoN there’s been for over 10 years. There’s a least 4 teams in the mix for the win so it won’t be easy and I don’t think there’s any team where you can say that it’s theirs to lose. Team USA are definitely in with a shot though.

I think it would be a very cool story if they got it done, given how the team has been assembled

Yes, for sure. Belgium is always strong it seems. I'm assuming Herlings is on the NED team? Who else?

I’m sticking with my picks in the Predictions thread without being surprised if the Aussie team takes home the 2024 Chamberlain.

1 - France, 2 - Netherlands, 3 - Australia

The moto scores are going to be very close this year. Especially if its a mudder.

I still belive that Hymas best would have been better han Webb’s best. The riding he put in at Thunder Walley and Unadilla before he hit the ground is a better pace than what i belive that Webb is capable of at the moment.

But there is no insurance that we would have seen Hymas best if he went. Webb can be a safer option for a decent result, but Hymas best is a higher pace.
