Prado. Gajser is in a situation where he needs help from other riders even if he would manage to go 1-1-1.

Prado. As many off races as Prado's had, Gajser has thrown away a huge lead.

I like Tim alot, but Prado has had the much better season and deserves to be leading IMO.   He just had a few weird races, and he lost a ton of points at the muddy rounds.   It will be tough for Gasjer in front of Prados home fans assuming the track is dry.  I just hope it's a great battle and everyone stays healthy for nations.

Anyone seen any video of this track?  Was it built just for the GP?

So they had a rumor a while back that Prado had an auto renewal if he wins. I’m guessing Pierer wouldn’t hold him to it? Anyone know anything about that? @ML

I’m a fan of Tim but damn that moto 1 in Chyyna was a disaster.  Thought he would mount a charge in moto 2 but Prado was up to the task.  Barring some sort of miracle, Prado should wrap it up in front of the home fans.  I don’t dislike Prado.  Both guys are champs in my book.

Prado. And man what a storyline it would be with him coming over as a 2-time/2-straight MXGP champ. I just hope he gels with the Kawi and doesn't need a year to get comfortable.. 2025 outdoors is looking to be epic.

It is a good track for a spanish national but im not sure if will fit well for mxgp, maybe a little small. I’ll be there from friday so I’ll post some pictures from the field

Tim Gajser defended the title successfully in 2020 if that was your question, didn't use the number 1 though.

I think Prado takes it this year, didn't Gajser also get hurt in China? Is he even 100%? I guess he has to hope for a mistake or mechanical from Prado.

Not to bad comparing with other tracks on the calendar.

I rode in Cozar before the summer and the track was not bad but maybe a little bit tight for mxgp.

The only problems was the rocks but they worked a lot on that and i belive its solved 100%.

Since you're from spain, do you have any clue on what happened with Red Sand? Wasn't that track supposed to be on the MXGP calendar for multiple years? Looked like a beautiful track..

MXGP of Castilla la Mancha 2024, taking place at Cozar in Spain

Home race for Prado! Round 2 was in Spain earlier this year and Prado won qualifying and both moto's, Gajser came in 2nd all 3 races.

Hopefully all the guys keep it on 2 wheels and may the best man win!

Prado, because a 1-1-1 doesn’t get it done for Gajser.

Tim needs guys in between and JH84 isn’t gonna do that. The 84 will be the main guy for KTM in the next few years as Prado leaves. He is smart enough to know or been told to help Prado/KTM with the title.

All hopes are on Febvre,Renaux or Seewer at this point, but the last 2 crashed pretty hard in China so I don’t see them that ready and the will to send..

Tim should try and mess with Jorge his starts all 3 times with the hopes he doesn’t get a good one and has a hard time to make passes… That’s the only chance in my mind.

Fernandez is the wildcard in this, he has been a good road block in China, what can and will he do? Will he run it hard on Prado?

Why not have 18 and 96 show up to try to help out? I'm sure Honda could make it work. If this was KTM I bet they'd be on their way over.

I don't think but am not sure Hunter would legitimately help him out -but it could work out that way.

I heard on one of the SMX post race interviews Hunter was trying to go, but abandoned the idea as it was too complicated.

If i remenbered well, the boss of Redsand have hotels too and he put almost all the money to run Mxgp in Redsand.

Goverment and autorities didnt put so much money like in other places and he lost to much money to run the races again...

In Spain the medium salary is pretty low( around 1500€ per month) and not every person can spend 300€ in a mxgp weekend others like me prefers to go out of Spain to wacth a GP.

This year i went to Madrid and crowd wasnt much Big... Lucky im going to go to Cozar and MXoN.

Thats exactly what happened, the goverment didnt give a single € to help the race and the track owner lost a lot of money just in one gp so it wasnt viable to do it again while the goverment still not investing any money on that

We will see, this has been a hell of a GP season, will probably go down to the last moto, I think Prado gets it done, this is probably the last time he will race infront of his home fans (Unless Luongo is willing to give Spain a MXdN), he wants to go out with a bang, a 1-1-1 and a GP World Title in front of his home fans before he steps into the AMA League will be something he wants to experience, not many riders have had the chance to experience something like Prado will experience this GP, its going to be emocional for him.

It's so weird since they planned to have the track on the schedule for like 5 years. Thanks for the info mate!

IMO the boss expected more crowd but realistily in Spain you can only sell 5000-10000 tickets and thats pretty lame in my opinion.

In 2018 i went to Imola to saw Prado won his first Mx2 title. The thing is that the track was build in a parking and the crowd was bigger than Two races in Spain.

That year i went to Paris Sx and i was blow away with French fans... Crazy amostphere and previous i was at MXoN in 2013 in Germany.

I don't think Herlings cares. Look how close it was Ironman 2017 between Musquin and Tomac.

Prado helped him out back in 2021 when both were on KTM. Not sure if he remembers that though.

Didn't Prado also nearly end both of their seasons by cross jumping him at the finish line in germany that year? Probably remembers that more. 😆

And even if he does, Herlings is usually the guy that races for himself and if he can smell a win he will go for it I think.

Some guy above said Gajser can't win with a 1-1-1? Is he smoking crack. There's a 95% chance Prado can screw up at least 1 race.

Sure, I'm not saying he will throw away a win. Herlings winning would help Prado out actually. A problem would be Gajser winning and Herlings finishing 2nd. I would not be surprised if Herlings gives up 2nd for 3rd if that's what the title comes down to in the final moto

Prado will win, for two reasons:

First, he’s better on the plastic/BMX tracks.

Secondly, there isn’t the depth/incentive to take second places away from him.

Pity.

On a proper track with a pressure cooker atmosphere, who knows?

Post a reply to: Prado or Gajser, who will win?
