I got sucked into the Berik boots hype, within a year duct tape was holding them together til I folded my ankle under the footpeg in a whoop section.

I loved my Berik boots, longest lasting boot I ever owned

I think I might have had them 2 years, at the end I had maybe 3 working buckles and had duct tape holding the rest on, and the plastic around the ankles had cracked from flexing. Ordered a pair of SG8s after severely spraining my ankle without crashing in Beriks, still have those SG8s in my garage after finally replacing them last year, soles still have a lot of life in them.

Last I had heard.  Lucky Nichols( LCS Racing Owner ) I believe retired back in 2020.

He got hurt really bad in 2019 while test riding a ATV ,the rear axle broke into 2 pieces and he hit a fence and had to get air lifted to a trauma center.

Lucky was diagnosed with a form of Alzheimer's. Went to his retirement party at Village Creek MX a couple of years back. We all had a blast. He seemed like same old Lucky, then. Very talkative and full of stories. Have not heard much since then. I think they moved to Palestine, Texas, when he closed his shop here.

Anybody who ever raced with LCS backing knows he was depicted unfairly in the show. Lucky knows more about making bikes go fast and handle well than all of us put together. There are plenty of champs who would back me up. Dennis Hawthorne, The Sheriff, just about any racer you could name in DFW went faster, easier, with Lucky spinning the wrenches.

Well that is my mistake then. I knew he was said to have Alzheimers and thought  I read of his passing.

His ex-wife, Valerie Baker, frequently mentions losing him in her Facebook posts. But she's referring to him sinking into dementia, not death.

Had to check the year on this thread. Haven't heard of Bookoo for years. The company still around?

Reminds me of my childhood and I'm 29 now.

No

They are beriks

The only no fear boots I remember were the “tattoo” style ones that were black and white

Maybe Grant wore them?
