Yes I was bitching about him passing on the MXON and I'm still disappointed he isn't going because he is so damn fast. Sometimes his ego gets out of hand on the podium but lately he seems to have grown up a bit. I actually wan't him to win and admire has RC level commitment and desire to win. I think his parents have done an amazing job under the circumstances and lets give Haiden credit for his will to win. This kid came from wealth but has developed so much grit and willingness to work harder than anyone else to be the best. He's only 18 and has won 3 titles and dominated along the way. This kid is the real deal and a legit threat to Jett in the future. We should all be grateful that we get to watch this kid!

I'm not a fan on his, but we also have to remember that he's 18 and in a spot with a ton of fame/money/people around him telling him how great he is. When I was that age I wasn't some model citizen and I was broke and didn't have any ounce of fame. I'm sure he'll continue to grow and mature, and hopefully he'll grow into his own person and not let his dad shape him into 2.0
Waiting for the same guys who show up in all the Deegan threads to piss and moan about him....
I give it a few minutes.
The kid is pretty awesome when it comes to pure talent and tenacity.
His work ethic is very impressive for his age. He has all the talent in the world too. Im looking forward to watching him in the 450 class in the coming years.
….same guys…You are one of them.😂

He acted more like an adult & less an obnoxious punk when in front of the cameras on Saturday, maybe he's moving beyond any need for validation & becoming his own man.
One thing is indisputable ; Deegs is a force of nature on the racetreack & it's lotsa fun to watch, I wish him many 10th place starts going forward.
I'm not his biggest fan, but cannot deny he's got what it takes to, not to be part of the show, he's got what it takes to be The Show, just like all time greats before him were...
So you decided to come bitch about the bitchers before they got here? How about finally pull your head out of your ass and have a real conversation on here instead of just being the other side of the coin you love to complain about?
If danger boy went to the MXoN his interviews would be great to see. His mental game is up there with Hannah.
To all the people who love to throw the hater card as soon as someone is critical of the Deegans acting.
This is a perfect example of where it can get you acting like a professional on the podium.
As soon as he start to act like the professional highly payed rider that he is, people start to come around pretty fast since it was his acting people react against, not his riding..
Deegan is the real fucking deal through and through. He is without a doubt a generational phenom, and is delivering. You can literally see him dig deep and push ahead. He’s like Carmichael, Stewart, Reed and Dungey all in one.
I fucking hate the kid but he’s undeniably exceptional.
Love him or hate him Deegan is going to be a major factor in moto for many years to come. He’s a real deal racer that wants to win every time he’s out there. And, I might add, he is by far the funnest racer to watch currently. His “full send” is next level.
I'll add I was very impressed when he settled for second last night in the second moto. Maybe he could have caught Brown, maybe not, but he clearly made a business decision and that was maybe the ONE thing on the track with him that could be viewed as a negative. He didn't need that position for anything other than pride, and he settled. That's as dangerous as his grit in my opinion.
Also have to say it's badass to see him come through the pack and make ZERO questionable or overly aggressive passes.
I was surprised too, he’s learning what to do and what not to do, and becoming a better racer because of it.
Magoofan they can’t help themselves 🤷♀️
*Saturday night
During RDL he said something about taking a shit on his live interview.
Little grouchy today eh?
Was your guy Chase?
I'm a Deegan fan for sure, just based on his riding alone.
One thing seems really weird to me. He was doing the press conference yesterday and Gypsy asked him about a Monster Energy MMA event where Deegs admitted to boxing one of the fighters. I kept thinking...I thought you were trying to heal your wrist and that's why you couldn't go to the MXdN. Seemed really strange.
Pit Row
The wrist has been healed, one or two extra screws were put in to add extra support so he could do what he does without problems, he will get getting that or all of the hardware taken out this week. The fighter he wants to spar with is Sean Strickland. If he was going to race nations, that would be a clear sign he wanted to race east coast in sx next year, since he isn't, I think that means he wants to race west after racing east two years straight.
he didnt actually box, he messed around with Sean strickland in an octagon for a few instagram clips..its not like he was hitting pads or doing heavy bag work
Not sure how anyone could dislike that kid….. “plus he had to leave the interview to take a fat dump!” 😂
He said he was going to go back there today and try and spar, that could mean a whole lot of things, such as what you listed.
I'm a fan of his desire, speed and work ethic. Not so much his attitude on podium. But last 2 weeks have been good, let's put it this way i haven't disliked him ha
Earlier I was scrolling FB and a post about him came up with the usual “daddy’s money comments” all I could think to reply was “Money can’t buy the balls it takes to ride like that, but genetics might be in play. So maybe his dad did give him a little help” lol
Deegan is far above the rest of the competition. Anyone who can’t see this is willfully deluding themselves because they dislike his personality or background. The kid has the stuff and is the only person in U.S. moto who has a chance to beat Jett in the next few years.
There are a few others in 250 who I think could become sensational but that’s yet to be seen. Right now it’s Jett and Deegan. I hope they both stay injury free and we see some epic racing in the coming years.
"3 titles"
lmfao
the only thing you lost me on is "amazing job under the circumstances" the kid had every advantage and opportunity to be successful. He took advantage, but can't act like his circumstances weren't ideal.
the biggest hurdle was the fame from a young age but they chose that route so if it backfired I wouldn't feel bad for them.
Not only is he above them they are also so farken inconsistent!
Hopefully it'll be better next year (For entertainment reasons not anti Deegan reasons haha)
...you mention inconsistent which makes me think of Kitchen. That dude is all over the place with results and I can't understand why. Mitch must be frustrated.
If you want to look at numbers, how many past 250 champions did Haiden compete against this year?.
-Vialle 2x GP champ and won SX this winter.
-RJ won a SX this winter but as always ended up hurt as aleays.
This year we lacked the seasoned veterans with titles under their belt in the 250 class.
We have some riders that have been there for a while like RJ, Shimoda, Smith and the list goes on.
And there is a reason for why they don’t have any titles yet (beside RJ’s sx he got this winter). All of those veterans are not considtent riders.
For years they have won motos, mains and what ever but over a season they struggle to be in a title hunt because of their slip ups.
Haiden played that game the best this summer but he had plenty of bad starts and often a fall on the same lap as the bad start.
So he were never faced with a tough competition like some other years where you had Justin Cooper, the Lawrences, J Mart in his early days etc, or the winter where Craig won the 250sx title for star.
This is not a bash at Haiden, but the fact that all the other title contenders underperformed. Vialle threw away plenty of motos falling down, Kitchen being all over the place.
We saw a hand full of guys winning motos this summer so they had the speed, but never the consistency to challange him for a title.
And that’s something i want to see. Same as people want to see Jett get challanged. How would Haiden act/react to a season long battle against a rider that will more or less always be on the podium like him.
I don’t think he is ready for a 450 ride based on his own misstakes this summer, but the other 250 riders under performing so much almost make me think that he should move up to continue to evolve his race craft because no current 250 guy can keep him on his toes and push him to go places he never have been.
It’s easy to ride calm and mail it in some motos when you know how much better you are than the rest. But if you line up on the gate and are in the same position as Jett and Sexton that you know if you slip up one moto in the whole year it can be over for you, that’s a different way of preassure.
