Will the GOAT of off-road (Kailub Russell), have a good shot of capturing the 2025 GNCC championship on the Yamaha brand?

What? Is this true? Don't blame him if it is, KTM (Decoster) really shit on him in the MX effort.
Yes, it is in fact true. He got a deal with AmPro to race for 2 years and be an "ambassador" for 2 more which basically means they are paying him for training on his property
Yes he will win.
KTM has had their guys training at his facility the past few years and he even raced a AM race with them this year for fun. Obviously Yamaha came to him with a bunch of cash or KTM decided to go a different direction.
Curious how he stacks up against these guys next year, he is 34 but GNCC seems to favor some more experience and the older guys usually do very well. I imagine a big chunk of KTMs offroad budget is set aside to pay for Johnny Girroir to stay with them at any cost he is on fire right now.

KTM appears to be cutting costs all over the sport, so this could be part of that.
Sick
It is my understanding that Kailub simply wanted to race full time again in the XC1 class - this was a sticking point with KTM.
This will make the XC1 class that much more interesting (not like it wasn't this year). Great battles ahead, looking forward to 2025 GNCC racing.
Was super excited when i heard this tidbit on the video about the ClubMX rumors. Never really got a fair shot at his MX attempts IMO. KR is a standup guy and great ambassador for off-road racing.
big if true
Pretty sure ML512 went over this with the club mx rumor.
I think Kailub Russell didn't get a good shot at the nationals. He had his jaw wired shut for like 3 months, then jumped back in and was off pace.
I think that's where he got it. I'm 95% sure it hasn't been mentioned publicly until I brought it up yesterday. However, I'm not 100% sure it's locked in but it sounds very far along.
Yes, pretty far along if not already signed.
For sure, between him and the two kids from New England we could be in for an epic series
Seriously? I dd NOT see this coming....
really?
Came here wondering if Ricky Carmichael was going blue…
Certainly first time ive heard it was from your video, I usually hear stuff pretty early about the East Coast off-road rumors.
Tyler at On the Pipe Podcast/Youtube im sure knows more than anyone about the situation dude is plugged in with the GNCC circuit.
It is true.
