I was surprised people were booing him at all. Still have hard feelings over the Anderson thing, I guess?

Haha and his pause on the podium

“ …(boos)………. thats sick..”

Mad about a lot of things but probably most mad about getting bested by his bro.

If you watch the press conference you'll get your answer. He's not happy with his performance. He's not happy that the bike stalled. In the podium interview after the first moto he mentioned the team needing to clean up the mapping.

My opinion is, he came back really fast from that injury and he's not close to 100%.  It has to be frustrating knowing your body is limiting you. All things considered, I think he is riding good.

How much time does he have on the '25, also?

Exactly what I was thinking, maybe he's not happy that he's forced to ride the '25 with no setup/prep time on it.  Perhaps he would rather finish the season on the '24 and then have a few months to sort out settings on the '25.

It’s a bummer they’re booing him.  Honestly booing is so disrespectful to an athlete putting it all on the line in a sport we all know is so gnarly.

Booing him in the moment the day of an incident is one thing, but 6 months later? That’s ridiculous.  Anyone who can’t see that he’s a good kid needs to take a deep breath and a look in the mirror.

Totally agree. Like get over it. Don’t understand people that hold a grudge over something so minor.
…assiming thats why they were booing

Jett hates losing and he threw it away with stalling his bike. Which he also did in qualifying. Pretty unusual for him to do that even once. But to do it multiple times is just crazy.

Being mad about not winning is why he is as successful as he has been. I like it. Hes going to be in serious mode next week.

$1m on the line if one of Jett, Chase or Hunter wins. Going to be awesome. If Tomac, Roczen, Webb etc. can mix it up out fron it gets a bit more complicated for points. I like that its a simple scenario for them to know what they need. Just win.

Yeah, it's best case scenario for the SMX finale - for the leaders probably needing to win the race to win the championship, and also to have 3 guys in that situation.

Had Chase ended up winning the overall at Dallas, then he would have been in a position that he could have won the championship by finishing second in the finale.  That's not great.

I think people boo'd him for acting like a baby. Pay some respect to your competitors (who are super respectful to you) and don't act like you lost to the third string riders and you will not get boo'd. His whole podium disposition was immature.

Getting beat, probably the same reason for last week. He thinks he’s going to win everything probably, but doesn’t realize that when it’s your day, it’s your day, if it’s not, then it’s not, that means someone was faster than him which has been the case most of these 4 motos.

Faster than him? So if he falls and takes 10 min to get the bike started and Noren wins, he was “faster” than Jett?

 Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard

The race is to the finish line so on that day your getting hypothetical about Noren was the fastest one to the finish line. Being fastest in practice doesn’t always relate over to the race this is racing anything can happen.

I’m sorry but if your favourite rider doesn’t some off the track pissed after a loss then your following the wrong rider.

Lots of good discussion,  some not so good.  Thanks

I still don't understand why I got 4 thumbs down on my original question?  Are some of you all really that stupid?

RC4,JS7 & CR22 era... not one of them riders where happy to finish anything other than first. They would walk up on the podium and you could feel and see the tension.

We got spoilt watching riders all be best friends for the past 10 years. Now we see someone like Deegan or Jett not win. Show some frustration and anger due to self expectations and the need to win and every one has a meltdown.

I was happy to see Jett pissed. Means he is racing for 1st and going to give it all next race.

Anonymous thumbs down are nothing to worry about, if you’re getting a good conversation going then who cares about the whiners!?

Good thread!

I wouldn’t say we have been “spoilt”. We have been missing out.

Losing. The way he lost. Who he lost to. Not necessarily in that order.
