With more posts about bike prices being cheaper. Wanted to ask what the actual OTD price is people are seeing.
Here in Arizona I looked at a 2024 RMZ-450 & 2024 KX450 recently.
Dealer listed the RMZ for $6,150.00 and the KX for $7,084.00.
I can't remember the exact amount for the RMZ. I think it was around $10,600.00 OTD
But the KX I have a photo of the Bill of Sale and it went from $7,084.00 to $11,481.14 OTD.
That's $4,397.00 more than the sticker price for the KX. Is this similar to what everyone else is being told?
$8100 otd for my 24 kx450 but some have found cheaper than that.
Why can’t dealers just list the actual price + whatever sales tax is in your area?
I’ve always thought the same thing. Some of make it hard to get a price out of them period. Car dealers are even worse.
Have a dealer by me that is straight up, advertised price is the price +tax. I’ve bought 3 bikes and a snowmobile trailer from him as he’s straight up with everything. Other places you have to call about their price. They call you back with a price totally different than advertised, wasting your time and the salespersons time.

Buddy, those are crazy costs of fees. I know people here in the valley paying ~$8500-$8800 OTD for new KX450s. Not sure on the other bikes. I'm just holding on for prices to continue to soften as I expect they will. Also interested in checking out the new Husky TC300 smoker.
Munn’s advertised prices are what they sell for plus TTL (in state) or doc fee (out of state).
Yep $8100 for me here in FL OTD with tax (KX450). Probably could have saved $300-$500 if I wanted to drive 2-4 hours. But $8100 for a new 450 is a good deal to me.
Yes it’s insane. Been trying to get a kx450 here in NC and everyone is insane with their add ons. They are trying to get every penny back after the rebates.
Guess we are spoiled here. 30 min drive to Ridersville WV, plop 7k to the cashier, she hands a buck back with all the paperwork, and drive around back and load a KX. It’s literally like a drive through burger joint, maybe quicker. Absolutely no bs. It actually took me longer to decide on how many oil filters and extras to stock up on than buy the bike…
Post these dealers doing this so we know not to call them.
I drive three hours to Ridersville and it’s worth every drop of gas.
Emailed reply to this, they told me I had to call. So I called, played phone tag. Within a day the salesperson that initially called me no longer worked there but got a new guy. The price he gave me (after saying he had to talk with his manager and call me back) for this was a little over $10k before tax. They had like 5 of them so thought maybe they were trying to get them off the floor but it was just an ad to try and get traffic which wasted the time of the sales person and mine as I had no intention of buying at basically MSRP price. This was the time when KTM was offering some price breaks and a shop not too far from me had advertised the same bike for about the same price but they only had one and it was sold by the time I saw their sale price (the actual price plus tax) on a Facebook ad.
Not a 450 but the dealer I initially reserved a Triumph 250 with kept giving me a bit of the run around on when it’s going to arrive, how many they’ll receive on initial shipment, etc. Ended up shopping around at about the time my original should have showed up and found one about 2 hours (round trip) further that saved me $1600 and I got my bike that day. It’s crazy how dealers don’t realize that motocross guys can and will shop around and drive just a bit further to save a good chunk of change…
My drive to 5 star is 3 hours one way. I have two yamaha dealers inside of 15 minutes from my house. I tried hard to buy from them but they were $1150 and $1400 more than Fivestar. Took a Saturday and left at 630am. Worth it to me. Only fees were tax, title, yamaha freight, and a reasonable doc fee.
As mentioned above. Dealers love to see rebates, they can soak up a good bit of it in fees. As much as overhead is I’m surprised dealerships wouldn’t offer up bikes in crates. No service people, no parts just bikes in crates. Load them in the back of your truck and drive off with it. I doubt manufacturers would allow it but I’d take a bike in a crate for a decent price and not have to deal with the BS.
Around here they're charging a large set up fee because theyre being sent to a facility a couple hours away and being put together by a 3rd party.. seems silly.
2024 KX450 $7450 OTD for mine here in Wisconsin.
If you want to get a chuckle there's another dealer by me that has a 2022 CR450R brand new. I tried to deal with them but the best they could do was $9100 OTD, lol. But this same dealer is selling 2024 KX450's for $8100 OTD. I don't understand their mindset on that.
Not a MY24' but I did buy a leftover brand new 23' Rmz450 for 6200-otd earlier this year.
Pit Row
Owen motorsports is by me also and they had their RMZ for a good deal then added 2k to it.
guess it costs $500 to install bars and a front wheel……..
Where? Are there more?
I’ve been trying to find these mythical RMZ’s for 6k and have never succeeded.
Nault's power sports in NH, no sales tax there which helps. I tried to buy it back in October for under 7 and they couldn't make it happen. They called me in Feb or March I believe asking if I wanted it at 6200otd and I gave a deposit on the phone and grabbed it a few weeks later. Maybe the 24s will be on sale in early 25 🤷🏻♂️
What area/dealership? I’m in central Florida and am getting outrageous quotes for 2 strokes.
Just an FYI for you guys. Babbitts in Muskegon, MI often does crate deals on bikes in the spring before new bikes come. I believe last year they had KX250Fs for $6500 shipped in a crate to your door and KX450Fs $7500 shipped to your door anywhere in the US. Might be worth signing up for their newsletter if you live in an area with high mark-up and want a bike cheap.
$7600 OTD 2024 KX450, that includes tax because I bought in state, wouldve been $7000 for out of state buyer. Left overs are getting tough to find, as of Friday they had one left. Toms River Kawi in Toms River, NJ
Man the absolute best quote i could find on a TF250X was $9700, that was out of state, no tax too! They are out of their mind trying to get 10k for a first year bike that everyone is a bit skeptical of.
I see new motorcycle dealerships closed. The others hv a ton of new bikes sitting. I,m not interested at all in new bikes but if I was. I would pay more than 6k for any bike, sorry the bikes r not worth it. Get a cr125 for 3,200-4,800 port it now you hv a Race bike. And you,l b faster on it at least I am
What’s the significance of the video, are you in it?
Chip is THE Man. Well, so is Dan. All-Time favorite dealer.
STOP shopping at corporate dealerships. Their mission is to increase shareholder value. Period. They're easy to identify by their multiple locations and their templated websites. They're just car dealerships that sell motorcycles and SXS.
Go find a single location dealership that has an owner in the store. Preferably one that has been in business for years. Their mission is to stay in business by retaining customers. Completely different experience. Worth the drive in almost every case...even if it takes a whole day.
And, yes, Munn rocks.
Now is a good time to buy. Sales are slow and dealers are stuck with inventory. I would offer $300 off retail + tax. in the crate. That's it! That would be a thin profit deal, but now is the time to dump product.
