Crystal ball, what do we see in the future?

After this round it's obvious that Jett is still the fastest in the world on a 450. After this summer it is also obvious that Deegan is coming and is also a generational talent. Looking into the future I see epic battles between Deegs and Jett. Does Chase have the ability to make it a 3-man battle royale and maybe a return of the RC v Bubba v Reed years?

Jett has the flat-out speed and next level technique, Deegan rides like he has a hundred bucks bet on the race and only 20 bucks in his pocket and Chase is the beast of the bunch with the most strength and endurance. Three distinctly different guys and styles could make for some very good racing.

We could be in for the best era in moto/sx ever.

Prado will be in the mix next season also . Not expecting much in SX but outdoors should be good

Deegan may not have the raw talent and build to ride as good as Jett, but the boy will die trying to beat him and I believe he will at times.

Prado is interesting, I don't see him beating Jett however.

The MXdN will hopefully show us where Chase and Jett slot in with the current crop of GP boys.

There have been so many random performances at MXdN it's hard to put too much weight on it in terms of overall rider vs rider

Big question mark from me for Prado when it comes to his first year. New place to live and to acclimate with, new schedule, new bike, getting through 17 rounds of SX first, barely any outdoor testing compared to before.

I think if he makes it through SX healthy he can win and holeshot 1-2 motos next year but he probably needs a year until he contends for an outdoor title. If he actually contends for a title in his first year on a new bike I would be super impressed and surprised.

That's true.  Hopefully there are no crashes...Just some good head to head dicing.  The Nations is a one off but if a fella wanted to stamp something...that's the place to do it.

I think Sexton will always be in that podium battle going forward, but I predict Deegan to be the real challenge for Jett going forward. I know he hasn't done anything on a 450, but his level of dominance and ability to "turn it up" and smoke the competition at will is very similar to what Jett can do. Also, people act like he relies purely on grit & energy, but his technique is miles ahead of where it was last year. He gets a little looser with it than Jett does, but there's nothing technique-wise that will hold him back from going fast on a 450.

He moved from Spain to Belgium and adapted fine. The European riders that race all over the world are used to having to adapt all the time compared to riders that only run a national series and stay in your own country.

The lagrest problem for Prado is that all of his race craft is based on a holeshot and sprinting away without having to race the other riders on track.

If he get caught from behind he often get passed. That will be his largest struggle in US, because the American riders often race more Intense the whole moto and that will not play in to his strength.

He will win some motos for sure but speed wise i would put him after Jett and at the same level as Sexton. But Sexton will race with more intensity than Prado for sure.

The "largest problem" you described wasn't his problem at all this year though. I don't know if it was Supercross this year that helped him, but he actually had some races where he came from 10th to first for example. Totally different from last year.

Also moving to america is a lot different than moving from one euro country to another euro country imo.

I think the biggest challenge will be the racing schedule. The other guys we have seen from the MXGP that moved to the US started with 250 SX and actually had more time to get some outdoor testing in for example. Prado immediately has to deal with 17 SX races with 2 months of preperation and the full 31 race schedule and on top of that on a new bike. He has been on a austrian brand his whole pro career, this is also gonna be a big change. I think it's impossible to predict right now where he will stack up next year. The biggest win would be if he makes it through his first full year without any injury. Everything else would be icing on the cake, I'm really excited to see how everything turns out though.

I still think that he will adapt fairly easy moving to a english speaking country that he will be based in the whole time.

It’s easier to eat your normal food when you have a home to cook it in etc.

Regarding the racing the MXGP riders often pace them self a large time of the moto like Jett does and i still belive that Prado will be some what surprised when the riders race like their life depended on it mid moto in the US series.

I don’t know what national series he have raced the last couple of years but a rider like Jeffrey that race both GP’s, Dutch and Brittish championship looked like he could handle the american format well when he raced Ironman.

Nationals vs GP’s is different but i don’t know how different the Nationals is compared to the different european national series that the GP riders often race.

But we will see how it pan out next year. Regarding the bike i think that the suspension could be the biggest problem since the US based teams seems to ride way harder settings than the European.

Jett’s MXoN moto scores so far are 1-2-6-1, I reckon he knows where he sits.

Moving to a different country is a lot harder than you think, even from one English speaking country to another.  The mental adjustment is huge.

There’s a long list of GP champions that have made the move and been successful although Prado will be the first in a few decades to move straight into the premier class.

Right now what deegan has over every single 250 guy is he will do whatever it takes to win whether on or off the bike. He doesbt have the technical ability as some other riders but he makes up for it with heart and grit and balls. That will let you blow by guys in the 250 class, but its gonna imo take more than that to win in the 450 class. He absolutely has the determination to refine his technique but just riding harder than everybody else is not gonna work vs jett. That being said that style absolutely can win on a 450 some little unknown guy named ricky carmichael became the greatest of all time with that type of riding.

In basically any other time period that would be enough to be the guy but I’m just not sure if that alone will work vs jett who is on pace to be the greatest of all time in mx and sx both. That being said haiden and his dad know what hes up against on the 450 and theyre going to do everything they can to try to adapt. One thing is for sure its going to be fun to watch.

I hoping we'll be seeing a Jett and Tomac show for all of '25. Definitely not counting Sexton out of that equation. Prado a question mark for the Kawi adjustment. Webb might already be in trouble for '25 and its not even October.. Deegan needs to stay in 250 at least thru SX '26. Vialle needs to start winning.

One of Deegan’s biggest assets right now is the inability of his opponents to string more than one good race together in a row.

I can't imagine a world where I would let an announcer have enough power over me to make me upset. Weird.

GTF out with that crap, I'm no Deegan fan at all but I see a guy that works as hard or harder than his competition. Holds it on longer, rails  harder, jumps bigger and never gives up. He has every reason to mail it in, but works his ass off to WIN. Unless you have facts, go start your BS somewhere else.

Particularly from someone that repeatedly claims he doesn't watch MX or SX, weird indeed.

My question is how does Deegan's sh!t talking affect those two. We've all seen how Webb can will his way to championships through the mental game. I'm not saying Deegan won't have the flat out speed, he's impressing me more and more and it clearly in a league of his own in the 250 class right now, but it seems like he's building into a Webb 2.0 plus speed. That's a dangerous combination! As stands I don't think the sh!t talk gets to Jett, but it does seem like Sexton can be affected by the noise. Might be a separating factor.

Deegan is a small guy. Will he adapt to a 450?

You have a point. 450s have historically been not kind to people under 6’.

Yep, guys that are 5”8 really suffered while the taller guys dominated them. I mean the way Kevin Windham dominated RC, the way Chad dominated RC and Stew, the way Dungey and Eli dominated RV is all historical evidence.

Exactly! I mean let’s not even get into how much Pastrana and dominated on the big bike. RC’s little legs didn’t stand a chance.

Webb only runs his mouth when he know that he has them beaten like the fragile ego of Roczen.

He never once tried it against Jett this winter because he knew that he could not beat him on his own merit and then it’s pretty lame to run your mouth.

The only time Webb has done it against a faster rider were when he shouted at Eli on the starting gate and threw a hail mary at it.

Didn't Webb even praise Jett? I remember an interview where he said riding behind him was like "watching poetry in motion" lol. I think it was last year during outdoors.
