Nicky won't be champ but he'll have a better year.
more power + better tires than your competition = championships in MotoGP. If those things hold true again in 2008, of course Stoner will repeat. I'd love to see Hayden win it again but I think Rossi has more talent than the rest of the field combined.

I agree. But Rossi will be on the same tires as Stoner this year. Of course we have to hope that the Duck isnt 10 mph faster this year again. I used to road race and theres no worse feeling (well other than crashing
Now watch Michelin come out with the best tire LOL.
Just from what I've been reading sporadically, while Honda doesn't have their act together yet, Nicky has been real impressive throughout the testing season. I don't think Nicky will ever dominate like Stoner did last year or Rossi in years past, but he won the title in '06 with consistency and podiums - not race wins. Sort of the Chad Reed (when RC and Bubba were around) of MotoGP.
This year I really plan on following the AMA stuff on tv, which I've never done before. The best racing around was in the Supersport and Superbike classes. MotoGP wasn't as exciting last year as it was the year Nicky won it. Also planning on making it over to Barber for the AMA Superbike doubleheader.
The AMA Superbike title was decided by 1 point, Supersport by 3 points, and World Superbike by 3 points. That's just incredible racing when compared to the boredom we've seen in too many SX seasons.
+1
Looks like Lorenzo has been on his "A" game all pre season. Maybe the rookie will be the one we'll be talking about all season. A few races into the season and we will have some sort of idea of who is looking good and who isnt.
Dont know about the tire rule this year, and for those of you that were not aware, last year they would only allow the teams a certain number of tires for the entire weekend. The number of tires was small enough that you could easily get caught out and have used the best compounds during set up and practice and bummed and slow on race day.
