small list of pro's and con's after rewatch because i fell asleep during pre-race
pro's . 1. weege
2. james
3. JT
4. AC9 utilized
5. track soil, venue kinda cool and different much needed SE race
6. 65cc races, almost better than some of the pro motos. and this is probably because jumps are not easy (track builders should take note because being able to do every jump and "flow" is over rated.
7. Tomac, for those haters. he looks happy and having fun racing. hell yass.
8. Jett is gonna be tough to beat.
con's 1. split gimmick start. tons of wasted real estate isn't worth it. rather have a better track. long fast starts suck.....bleh
2. how many commentators does moto need holy geezus 1 guy can literally handle it.but having jt or ac on the ground is needed. the minute they had 3+ in the booth it immediately kills the broadcast
3. will C. is not good at this. NBC please put her in one of yer other sport coverages.
4. media overhype literally made most of the show a snoozefest. too much talkin and not enough racing.i would rather watch a still camera in a corner with audio over hearing WILL speak.
5. I love whoops. where and whatever happened to whoops.????thats why these races are boring. absolutely boring track with knowhere to make up time.
observations. racing was ok. glad there was racing today. weege and james are solid. i love ricky but hes not great at this and should stick to small contributions not trying to carry so much of the conversation. after hearing weege and james alone in booth durin some races. ricky is the 3rd wheel....hate to be honest but hes not recognizing he needs to tone it down and keep it simple.
feel free to downvote me, don't care. some like to bench race....i like to critique the broadcast so it gets better.

To your point 100% they were moving left and right all day never following 100%
RC was decent today, he still had some Rickyisms but wasn’t bad IMO. Will on the other hand…
You’re kidding. He’s horrible. I don’t really think James is that great either.
I think Jt would be better in that position with Weege, but both Weege and Jt act dumber than they are and serve up underhanded pitches to rc and James the entire time.
Jt and Weege act like rc and James are the experts. Jt raced pro for like 20 years and is as articulate and knowledgeable as anyone but has taken this role of bowing to James and rc because they were faster… doesn’t mean they’re any good at their current roles.
Even weege is as knowledgeable as anyone if he’d stop dumbing himself down to serve up these underhand pitches to the former fast guys turned horrible broadcasters.
Everyone’s all impressed with James because he said masterpools privateer kawi worked better than the factory kawis because the factories make their bikes too stiff.
That was two seasons ago. Since then it’s been dumb nicknames and 100% 100% 100%
Lol, I’m not arguing that JT isn’t better qualified to be a commentator and I’m judging RC based on past races. But I stand by what I said, I think he was “decent” today… I’m not saying there isn’t room for improvement. As far as bubba, you can tell he was homeschooled by the way he speaks but I love him in the booth and all his one liners and weird nicknames that come with it

I guess if we’re grading him against himself he didn’t say anything about wheelbarrows and only mentioned paintballs once today. He did say short legs in the whoops tho. Pretty so so day I’d say.
Hahaa like I said… Decent
3 people in the booth is one too many.
I agree with everything you said, i’ve mentioned before that if they insist on using Will, please do it during the intermissions between motos. I want to throw my remote every time they go to her at any time during the racing because its unneeded and takes away from the racing action!
The production booth needs to keep an eye on the timing bar. Deegan was running Kitchen down in the second moto and they stuck with McAdoo in 9th for almost a full lap.
James analysis is 1000 times better than anyone we have had for a long time. An example was before it happened him saying what Deegan was going to do in the corners before the rhythm including standing over the roller turn before and he did just that and made a pass in the section. He notices things I certainly don't and provides great details IMO. I appreciate his humor too, although it's sometimes cheesy.
Just re watched the second motos as I was in and out during them live. Also watched the post show and told my wife. Ricky is not in a loud NASCAR and needs to move the mic from his lips. Looks weird to see him act as if the mic is in his way when he put it there.
I'd like to see them put Brayton in the booth with Weege and James if they're gonna have 3 commentators. I think he does a great job on RDL.
Missing the pass for the lead in the second 250 Moto. I mean, they have the intervals posted right on the screen!
i would guess this issue is caused by whoever is spitting garbage in their ear on whos to send it to next makes it hard for weege and others to concentrate on timings or normal stuff they would normally catch. it also seems like james catches laptimes that are standouts way better than the others.
The same 'podcast as a broadcast team, occasioanlyl interrupted by the racing on the track' -- If we want a podcast we will listen to it after the fact, if we want to watch the race focus on the action on the track, elevate the action, hype the action -- don't spend half the race hypothesising shit.
I'm obviously in the minority but I really like Will C -- I find it refreshing to break up the dude-fest of voices and her persective is always 'I talked to them and they said this' and i find that far more interesting that constant hypothesising. She doesn't have a history of racing to fall back on so just repeats verbatim which to my has as much or more value than hypothesising. I think she's great.
AC is... just getting started, so hopefully will find his rhythm but he doesnt have it yet. He's awkward, weird, stilted and trying to hype too much when the race isn't on and it should be time for analysis. And when he said 'I was never more nervous than at this race last year' he lost a lot of credibility because that was clearly bulllllll shhhiiiittttt
If JT doesn’t bow down to Ricky, he’ll be out the door like DB 😬
Still trying to find the rider “Chase Section” that Ricky mentioned
Yea that was inexcusable to be watching marchbanks in mid pack and miss the pass for the lead. Everybody on earth could see the time was clicking down to 1.5 seconds very fast. That one was inexcusable, that cannot happen.
Pit Row
Is this really necessary?
Only thing I'd like to see is the ability to select specific motos to watch on the replay. The fast forward followed by commercials as I'm trying to skip through and time it is a pain.
You made some good points. Especially about the whoops. At the very least, give us 9 whoop, dragon out into a sand section.jk
But I disagree about the Will shade. I just like watching pretty girls talk about moto.
And did anyone else think Carmichael killed it on that mashup podcast show. He looked comfortable.
Ricky said hims, so hillbilly.
I just don't understand why Will has to have her long-winded speeches during the race. Every time she's on the mic, she's guaranteed to be talking for a lap. Then they pass it to the next guy, and then the next guy, and then back to Will. I really enjoy James being in the booth. Great analysis, but he also seems to bring a comedic aspect to it as well, which seemed to help Ricky a bit yesterday.
They do not need 8 people working the broadcast. 2 in the booth and JT trackside is all they need.
James is a hell yeah. He is like a smooth jazz of David Bailey meets Snoop Dogg. He has the ability to break things down, he points out things racers are doing that are unique and what it allows them to do vs. the others. Then he comes on and makes a funny joke.
The team needs to be this... Weege/James in the booth. AC the floor guy breaking things down, and JT interviewing the racers. Done and dusted. Don't need extras, etc etc. Unless they were Dianna Dahlgren on my screen somehow. She is always welcome
And for all that is Holy in this world, get a new damn producer. BONDO must go
I co-sign all of this, and vote for you as the next executive producer.
I can’t get past James saying motorcross.
Too many announcers imo. Maybe it’s ADD but I have a hard time following all the conversations between like 6 different people. 2 announcers and one on the floor is the way to go. Maybe every once in a while 2 people on the floor. Weege should obviously be the main color commentator at all times though. He’s like the Rob Warner of moto.
I’d like to see a race with just Weege and JT and see how it goes.
Then do the same with just RC and James.
