I have just never been able to get past Alessi's first couple years worth of antics. That is why I don't like him. If he actually stepped out on his own and got out from underneath his father, I might learn some respect for him as a person. As it is, I only respect his ability to ride a motorcycle.
It's obvious the kid is fast and has the desire to win. It's obvious if he stays healthy, he is going to be a contender. It's obvious the guy also needs some "Media" training. This has been the case since his first race at Millville.
I am not ever rooting for the guy, but I don't wish any bad luck on him either. Mikey and his father have made the bed they are laying in and they just have to deal with that.
Flame on!!
This being said, I don't have any ill will toward Mike. I think he's an incredible talent and I look forward to him staying healthy this year and being part of a multi-rider battle for the championship.
Poor Mikey's interpersonal growth is stunted. He's still an immature excitable little boy. He's just overly excited to be pleasing Dad.
Thanks Doc!!

Just because you don't like someone, they could be monotone and thank sponsers, and you jerkoffs would still be hateful to them.
I'm not rooting for the guy, but I'm not picking pepper out of fly shit either.
WTF do you think the outcome might be? A hug???
"Got beat"???
They run two motos to decide the "overall". Unless I'm totally mistaken, the overall gets the top step on the podium at the end of the day.
No navy seals on the high riser - just a washed up Australian.
That shouldn't be misconstrued as "hatin' (not Mike anyway). Just an observation. I would love to see Mike break the chains that bind him.
-Check the lap times, Alessi backed off with about 1/4 of the race left because he knew he had everyone covered.
-Even though Reed got the overall, I think many could argue Mike made the bigger statement. Without the break check from JG that jacked up Mike the first moto, he'd most likely have the overall.
Why would Reed feel the need to insult the kid unprovoked? Maybe because he got beat handily by a younger kid on a smaller bike. Reed knows what's up and felt the need to take a stab at what Mike had just accomplished.
The kid doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, and now, it's not just JG who wants to put the wheel to him...now Reed wants to launch him into another zip code.
Way to be humble, Mikey.
Nothing like making friends.
