I agree. Emig is one of my all-time favorite riders, but it's downright painful listening to him stumble over himself week after week. I think Weege does a great job...I just hope I don't have to hear him refer to Pourcel as the "crafty frenchman" 500 more times this summer.

Weigand did a great job.

He caught me off guard when he was doing the promo for the F1 Turkey GP on Speed when he drew a parallel to Chad Reed by pointing out that another Aussie, Mark Webberm is leading the F1 Championship.

Nice going, Jason. Way to think on your feet.

Hard to Beat Larry Maiers & Dave Despain. Eckman was cool too - had great vocal range.

Some of you guys would bitch if they hung you with a new rope. Ralph is ok...is he the best...NO....but he ain't terrible either. I agree with uk though...the Canadian announcers are fun to listen to.

Wish they would get rid of Emig and use Bailey instead! Emig could use some grammar lessons.

In defense of ALL those guys who do it live (even Ralph), the Canadian series is taped at the event and the "play-by-play" is post produced long after the story is known, and the tape has been watched.

No offense to Travers and Koster, but you can't compare what they do to someone trying to do it live.

I think that I read somewhere that Bailey and Emig will both do some of the races this year with Jason W.

I like Emig, sometimes Bailey just sounds bored with it all.

They are both miles ahead of Shaheen though. I can't stand to hear that guy do moto.

I agree, indy_maico, that they are both miles ahead of Shaheen. He gets over excited and wets his pants over the dumbest things.

I just wisht that Emig would learn to speak English correctly. He has no idea how to use his past and present tenses properly. He sounds like a second grader. Did he even graduate high school? If he did, shame on our school system!

I noticed that mixing tenses thing with Emig as well.

You would think that since he is now a professional announcer, someone would clue him in.

I'm sure that if he realized how butchers it at times, he would work at it, just as he worked at being a pro MX-er back in the day. Sometimes you have to take the time to work at perfecting your craft, and a pro moto guy knows that more than anyone.

Jason Weigandt isn't any better to listen too. I find his voice and style of announcing very annoying.
