I'll give you that..the guy is blazing fast. I just thought he was supposed to race? There was big talk a few weeks back, or was it selected races?

He said he won't race till the doctor gives him a release. I hope he makes it to Lakewood at least. It makes the most sense to come out and kill it here because then he will be a shoe in for MXDN.

I think short did pretty good. He ended up with the hard charger award for going from 39 to like 16 and then a solid 5 second moto. I thought Weimer would have done better.

What about Barcia? Dungey had to be at least top5
Barcia went 15th or so to 5th in moto 1 and moto 2 he got past tickle and then gave that spot back but the top 7 guy's are no joke.

Dungey was slow to move up and Josh Grants Throttle hand was broken it appeared in moto 2

Everybody was going really fast, the lap times were all similar. I think the track had something to do with it as well. It seemed like it was difficult to pass.

With that, I was hoping Dungey would do a little better.

Izzi. Sadly, his career is gonna be on life support if he doesant produce some results soon. I know he has had a bad run with injuries, but thats just the way this brutal sport works.
My Nico Izzi predicition: He will be picked up for pennies on the dollar by team like Pro Circuit and we will see his potential. He went from Decoster Team Zook to newer 250F team and had a big injury.

Sleeter was a disappointment. Wasn't he supposed to rip the 2T? What happened? Did he not qualify?

Got to say Tyla was a little off the leaders pace in lites.
Where was Kyle Cunningham in 450's ?
Shorty was just shorty, beaten overall by DeDycker on a production bike, just having a fun outing.
Rob, really? Especially as to Short. He was in 40th at the beginning of the first moto and raced backward. Have a little respect.

Anyone in either class who doesn't start in the top ten at a normal track (i.e., not a mudder) has got a tall order to go to the front.

RD39 would do well. He proved that last year. I hope he gets permission to make a few. I know he is focused on the WORCS and EX Championships this year. But, yes- would have been interesting?

Just like it would have been interesting if Antonio Cairoli, James Stewart, Stefan Everts, Roger DeCoster, or Evel Knievel were on the gate...but none of them were there, either.

Wasn't a problem for 3 time world champion Dave Thorpe at Farleigh Castle British GP in 1986? . Got taken out by Merv Anstie in first corner, had to drag bike out of ropes, re-mounted and came from last to first in 3 laps, past the best 500cc GP riders in the world, Jobe, Malherbe etc.

Shorty's a really nice guy, but he's too comfortable with Texas ranch lifestyle , young family, friends around him. He doesn't seem to have the inner fire, drive to be a champion.

From an interview I saw with Izzi during SX, it sounded like his heel was still giving him problems. Maybe that's still not 100% yet.

The racing's changed a bit since the 80's though Rob. Smile

Plus there are no 'Steps' on most modern race tracks Wink Are you going to the British Champs at Farleigh in August?
