No Wey..

What has happened to Nick Wey this year? He has been on fire doing a great job and now he gets that factory ride we all have been hoping he gets and he is no where near the front. Anybody?

Becoming a father made him soft... and slower. haha, jk. I hope he figures things out and starts getting better results, whatever the problem might be.

He said for years he wasn't interested in a factory ride, he was more than happy with his MDK ride. Now, he's factory like all the fans thought he should be and he's fallen back a little. Bike? Team? Told you so?

In all actuality, I'd GUESS, he's on a new bike and the team is working on a new bike. Give them a year or so and they'll figure out what makes it tick.

I'd heard set up issues. I would exspect outdoors to go alot better.

He's in the top ten in points (8th). How much better do you think he can do?

He was a top five guy consistently his last full SX season, and with Tedesco, Langston, Stewart and RC out and Vuillemin not doing as well as we all thought, he ought to be doing better than 8th, I think. Probably the bike. KTMs just don't do so great in the 450 class in SX. Never have.

Regardless of whether the linkless shock is an issue or not, i've seen a pattern of KTM riders setting up their suspension and still having bottoming issues. I'm no suspension expert but... sequenced photos of KTM 450s going through a lightly whooped out corner (and having the rear tire hitting the fender) don't lie. On the other hand this was coming from local A riders, so making the conection between amateur and pro ranks may be a stretch.

He wanted out of the MDK contract this year but they did not let him leave. Kindof the same thing as 800 wanted.

I have made it to anaheim 2 and Atlanta this past weekend, and have not been real impressed with him so far. I still root for him but he doesn't seem to be the same this year. I am sure he puts in the work during the week and haven't heard of an injury so something is off.

He cant get the bike to work for him. He keeps changing setups they want him to stay with one setup and get used to it and build off of it but he wont becouse he thinks he can make it better. I know there are people frustrated on both sides of this deal.
