Wife and I are Kenny Chesney fans, probably the only concert we attend. Well, he's coming to Scottsdale this Wednesday 24th, only comes to town in the summers because that's the only time he tours. We looked it up and he's not playing at any of the coliseums he usually does, he's playing at one of the local casinos. Not only that but he's playing in an outdoor amphitheater. Day or night, Phoenix in July outdoors GTFOH...not that big of a fan.
Did limp bizkit Saturday night, and i prevail, Halestorm same place last night and coheed and cambria with primus this week. We have pitbull ( girlfirends co workers want us to go) next Followed by Incubus, north coast to see DJ Diesel (Shaq), a few others and then riot fest. That should do it for my year I think.
Jan and I have been Chris Isaak fans for a while, so I surprised her with tickets for her birthday in May at our favorite venue, the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix which has a rotating round stage.
Susan Tedeschi and her husband Derek Trucks of Allman Brothers fame (both excellent guitarist) got married years ago and decided to go ahead and just make one band and this is the result--with 12 musicians. 😳
It was a good show and she has a really great voice. 😎 We were both glad we got to go as we wère up North vacationing that was extended and almost didn't make it, this was in June and before her operation that has REALLY set her back.

I'm a big Samantha Fish fan and I turned my buddy onto her and he's got four tickets. I sure hope Jan can make it this Saturday as her health has been declining really bad and can barely get out of bed since her operation three weeks ago....😢
These pictures are from the last time she came to Arizona before COVID.
We were supposed the go to The Mavericks concert a few weeks ago, but Raul Malo came down with a case of the cancer. Not sure if it will actually happen, but the show is rescheduled for August 25th. That is a crazy short recovery time i would think.
STONES
STILL PUTTING ON GREAT SHOW
Pretty excited for the Braun Brothers Reunion up in Challis, ID this year. Steve Earle has been on my list of people I want to see for quite some time and there's a lot of really good talent in the Red Dirt scene right now. Plus the Idaho/Montana landscape is gorgeous.

My wife went to the Vancouver show a couple weeks back, she said it was incredible the energy they had.
Samantha Fish - Bulletproof Tour w/ The Zac Schulze Gang came back to the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix and did not disappoint.
Great show and she always stays after to talk and sign autographs for her fans.
The opening band was Zac Schulze from the UK, and his three piece band jammed some great Blues/Rock as well.
Only bummer was my wife was not feeling good enough to go but had a good time with friends.
Going to Golden, CO for a wedding next weekend so I got tickets to a show at red rocks - The Head and The Heart.
That's really cool. One of my best friends of 55 years has been going to the Red Rocks for the last 8 or 10. He loves that place. I need to join him one day.
Meanwhile, you guys know how much of a Samantha Fish freak I am, well, I'm not in the same league as this guy. 😜
Saw Slightly Stoopid in Chula Vista tonight. Openers were Dirty Heads, Common Kings and The “Elovators” a band from Boston.
What were Primus like?
Was excited to see Primus some years ago and they were extremely disappointing. I'd give them another go if they were to play the greatest hits.
So this was a concert I would not have bought tickets to, but my cousin did and his wife did not want to go, so he asked me.
I last saw Journey around 1981 time frame in the Rose Bowl.
When we arrived at the chase field where the Diamondbacks play the lines were tremendously long went out into the street onto the next block!
The place was absolutely jammed. They cordoned off the infield, but everywhere else were floor seats.
I have never seen that stadium sold out and can't remember being in that type of jammed crowd, 80,000 easily!
The show was pretty good and I'm glad I went and even though I'm not a heavy metal guy. Def Leopard definitely stole the show and they were really good. Did not really realize what a POWERFUL ROCK band they are.

The one-armed drummer is amazing.
My sister bought tickets to see The Smashing Pumpkins in Spokane next month, so I'm going to fly up there with my son and see those guys.
After she found out we were going, my daughter wanted to see them also. So I bought us tickets to see them in San Diego, and I guess it's a festival with Green Day and a few others. Cool. 😎
Forgot about this thread.
I saw "Sammy Hagar-Best of Both Worlds" in July. With all aging rockers, I went in with really low expectations, but they delivered. Sammy can't hit the notes he used to, but they strategically used Mikey and Jay (keyboards) to hit those high harmonies for him. He was actually pretty good for a 76 year old.
Satch kinda scared me when I saw them on Howard Stern when they first announced this tour. He was trying to play the 5150 intro, and he was struggling. Suffice it to say, he figured it out. He sounded really good. I think Eddie would have approved.
Jason was Jason. Punishing the drums.
Pit Row
^Kind of crazy that Mike Anthony can still hit those high notes. He's pretty old, too!
I saw that tour announcement too, and Satch had trouble playing the Mean Street intro as well. I mean, that's an insane piece of music, but I figured Satriani could play it. I guess he had to work it out.
What have we got booked in this year then?
Saw an amazing band on Monday who I've seen many times but this time was probably the best yet, White Denim, would recommend you start at the Corsicana Lemonade album and branch out from there, if you like elements of psychedelic rock tinged with a little jazz and straight rock then you should love these guys.
Got tickets so far for:
Weezer
Extreme (with my mates Terrorvision supporting)
Rival Sons
Bernie Sanders’ band? I’m not sure if he’s playing in Louisiana:
Taking the wife to see George Strait and Chris Stapleton at Sofi Stadium in July. I hear Inglewood is lovely that time of year so I got a room for 2 nights 😛
This thread needs freshen up.
Saw System of a Down with Queens of the Stone age last night. The whole thing great from start to finish.
Who is everyone else seeing this summer?
Ah dude I saw them at the July 13 London show. Soooooo good!
also saw Breakout (French punk band) last night in Prague, and Electric Callboy in Vancouver earlier this year.
I hope the UK treat you well, if the GP hadn't been this weekend I would of gone to Poland to see them again.
White Denim are great. Saw them a few years back.
How do you know the Terrorvision guys? I saw them a two or three times back in the 90's, always a fun gig!
Don't have anything lined up for this summer but have a ticket to see GOAT in April.
Saw Willie Nelson last Sunday. He sounded surprisingly good for 90 😳
Which tour did you see? I've seen them 5 times and the second sets were pretty much then new concept album and once a Rush album. The other time was them opening for Slayer and that was just greatest hits. There is nothing like Les' bass live.
Going to see my 25th and 26th Phish shows this weekend. Can't. Fucking. Wait!
