He crashed. He came through the pack to 7th and had the fastest lap.

Yep. Set a good lap time but made some mistakes.

Heard from a little birdie a few weeks ago that the wrist is in much worse shape than they've been letting on to. ie:Think RJ. I hope technology is better now than it was in 89. MX/SX needs RV.

I read an interview where RJ said he returned to quick. After his first wrist injury, it took a few races for RJ to win. I think he won a 89 500 national and 90 250 national. The 1990 Daytona injury was the end. I would hate to see RV ruin his career because he returns to quick.

What happened in the 250f main? I just got home. I missed a hell of race.

He threw away his career when he decided to move up to the 450 to soon.

I was there and saw what happened. He was coming through the pack pretty quick and by the way he was moving probably would of finished 2nd or 3rd. There was a wall before the corner of the finish line and he got squirley and was trying to get his balance as his bike was rolling back down the wall and Josh Grant came and nailed right into him and that's what finished him for the night, otherwise he would of been fine and got going again.

Too bad nobody cares about the outdoors. He'll probably be wearing a cape if he's lucky next season.

Was he hurt, or just unable to continue because of the bike?

he was definitly hurt. I watched the replay and right as he was picking up his bike, he was hit between his body and his bike (i.e. right in the arms). it was pretty ugly looking in the video. the then rolled down the hill and off the track. he was standing but didn't look to be in any kind of shape to throw a leg over the bike again. nothing wrong with the bike that I could see but he looked down for the count. I just wanted to check online to see if anything had been posted about his condition but haven't seen anything so far.

i'm hoping he's back in it soon. looked to be a good race out there with a few of the top guys lap times. Always good to see a real race with the finish up in the air.

the 450 main was very nice as well. go davi!

i too was at the race. it happened right in front of me. there was a wall like at a2. it became one line dominant with a huge rut in the middle. he got a stuck in the rut at the peak and fell over. grant had nowhere to go and just cleaned him out. road directly through him while he was falling off the bike. he clearly just re-injured his wrist. he was in no shape to be riding out there in the first place. i give him credit for going out there and riding because i saw the x-rays. just a guess but i wouldn't expect to see him the rest of the season or even into the nationals. sucks because it would've been nice to see him battle with canard. trey is the real deal and easily ran away with the victory. this kid is going big places! hes gonna be a great role model one day and the sport needs more people like trey. kid is so down to earth and carries no baggage off the track. something this sport lacks very much.

They said he tried to get back on the bike and go racing again to save some points. Somebody in his camp needs to talk some sense into the kid. Heck, where are these team managers? You know these athletes will paint the rosiest picture possible just so they can get out on the track again. That's what the managers are for...to inject reality into the situation.

RV needs to heal at least until the outdoors, if not longer. He needs to save a championship career, not just one stupid season. I think Stew's in the same boat. He needs to heal completely, then come back.

Villopoto definitely needs to take his time here. You would hate for a stupid nagging injury be the result in ruining a career. With Stewart a think its a little different case. How hurt is he really? Everyday the story out of the Stewart camp gets fishier and fishier. I find it odd how what Kawasaki states and he states seem to differ about his injuries. For instance the surgery. One says it was done back in Florida the other out in California. Hmmmmmm. Clearly everyone can for see his arrival to JGR racing to reunite with J-Bone and line himself a deal for Nascar once he decides to hang em up. But the real question is........Do you think its possible Gibbs can be cutting James a check under the table to give him the money hes missing out on this year. Gibbs wants Stewart to be an absolute 100%. Money is no issue to this man for he has way to much of it. But a little gamesmanship is supercross? I certainly wouldn't put it past any of them.

I just happened to be watching Izzi and Villo battling it out when he (Villo) went down on the face of that wall by the the finish line. It was so steep that he fell of the bike but was still holding onto the handle bars when Josh Grant came and plowed him! I am not sure if he was hit in the face or not but his left arm was the first thing to take a hit. I dont know which wrist was hurt or if this will affect him with that but, it looked as if he was injured in this hit. However, he was up and talking with the media so, I would dare say he cant be that hurt by it as he would have been carted off to the Astx med bus thing right away.

It sucked cause it took away from the rest of the race for me as every 10 seconds or so, I kept looking up at the big screen to see if they were going to show a replay of it or something.

Maybe not but, it looked like Josh never even tried to hit the brakes but rather was on the gas. I dont know, have to watch it next week to see what happend up close as I was on the other side.

Trey was stoked though wasnt he!!

He was favoring his right hand/forearm as he was hoping around thinking about getting back on the bike.
