These new 2025 KTM group 85s look amazing. I especially like the Gas Gas. But the pricing on these is absolutely mental. It is at a point where i almost hope that my future kids never get into this sport.

It's the resale value that is mental. You can pick up a one or two year old model with 30-40 hours on it for 4k. Over 7k retail on a new one is just crazy. My son will be keeping his 2022 models lol. Got one for 4K last year and another for 3,500 a month ago with 105 kit.

it surprises me how much people here dont have a clue about what is going on with the sport they are supposed to love.....

tbi was never a performance thing, like soud restriction.....it is the way moto brands found to pass the pollution laws with their 2stroke machines.....i dont really know the laws about this in america, but most 2 strokes in america are european brands, and in europe pollution laws are a big thing.....

if you like to ride a 2 stroke and dont care for pollution laws, you are really killing those engines......and you are making a big push to be riding electric in the near future.......

Used bikes have never been worth much, except during Covid.

I have 2 2023 85 for sale for $3500. I’ll be lucky to get $3k a piece.

I have two 2025 85’s coming, not that much really. A lot cheaper than a new electric cobra 50 lol

$7k...? I remember the twinshock 1981 CR80's being on sale over here for £399 to clear them out ready for the single-shocker coming in 1982. My Dad said I could have one if I got in the top ten at a race. He knew his money was safe :-)

When they stop discharging millions of gallons of radioactive wastewater into my local river which is the main drinking source for many cities around then I’ll start caring about the little bit of leaded fuel and premix I burn yearly, until then it’s a moot point.

How are batteries for E-Bikes made again?

Let alone considering that everyone racing ebikes has a generator now

So you’re telling me emissions laws apply to closed course, strictly MX bikes ?

IMG 8582IMG 8581 %281%29.jpg?VersionId=14Yesterday our MC85 big wheel arrived. These went up $150 MSRP with freight staying at an additional $410 from GasGas. The cone pipe looks pretty Factory! Lower seat height will also appeal to a wider audience as the KTM Group 85's were taller than the Japanese.

Prices went up $150 total for 2025: big wheel MC85's are $6,649 plus $410 freight from KTM Group.  Seat height is lowered an inch, styling looks very modern in person, and the cone pipe looks Factory!  We have just one big wheel now, previous models on blowout.  In New Braunfels, TX  Kent Motorsports 830 624-3000

The turning radius on the last generation was noticeable wide. Anyone know if the new ones turn tighter?

When riding You never notice it, but when you're trying to load or unload or move it You sure do

New and old have the same turning radius.  Annoying moving the bikes around, but not noticed riding on an MX track.
