jase thinks hes back in australia and the ACU were the best thing for motor cycle racing. He has no idea what Bud is reasoning.

Bud comes off as a bitter old man that is hung up on DMG winning the bid for amapro in 2009 and leasing the rights to the Coombs. Jace must have said 10 times that the other 11 are happy and making very good money and Bud would go back to 2009…at the end Bud basically said he would like to not give MXSports the free tickets they require (although there was a question of whether that was still a requirement) and he would add $100k to the purse….it was very apparent that Bud is difficult to work with and if it were just Lori we would probably have a national at GH….

I'm going with Davey on this one, going solely off the Gpysy interviews.  Bud did not give a good account of his side of the story. Lots of off-the-point rambling, after Gypsy finally let him talk.

Glen Helen Raceway here to help clarify any lingering questions in case someone has one.  Our goal at this point is to get out the full story and truth about our path towards not having an MX National.

Agreed.  He is upset about a bunch of issue that don’t have anything to do with MX Sports.  He certainly doesn’t understand Corporate Council, and should stop saying “fiduciary responsibility “ every 30 seconds.

If folks want Glenn Helen back, you need to lobby Bud to let it go, and sign the same deal everyone seems to find fair and profitable.  He does not deserve a special deal, just because his track is special.

Going to go further, and thank Davey for preventing Yourhstream from taking the series and most likely ruining it forever.

Are you willing to sign the same contract every other promoter in the series signs? Sounds like that’s all that needs to happen.

If MX Sports isn't needing our requiring an unreasonable amount of complimentary tickets to sell or share, then that would be news to Glen Helen Raceway.  All information that has been shared with us since the breakdown over ticket allotment is that the current contract is "unchanged" for other tracks.

Can't really answer that question based upon the fact that we don't know what the contract is that "every other track" has signed.  We can only negotiate in good faith with MXS based upon the contract terms that were presented to us.

I respect the fact that you are here as a way to explain your side of the issue but this isn’t going to end well for anybody if you continue to engage with people on this forum

Can’t you pick up the phone and speak to your formal NPG friends?

First things first, we never "canceled" an MX National.  Just another example of MXS spinning the narrative their way.  Both events didn't happen due to both parties not being able to come to terms on a contract.  As additional context, GH was expressing concerns regarding the contract for months prior to the schedule release that MXS sent out PRIOR to a renewed contract.  Was GH supposed to just accpet whatever contract MXS sent over since they had already gone ahead and released a schedule?

As for complaining, the only reason GH participated in the podcast was in defense of the production that DC decided to produce with Gypsy.

Appreciate that sentiment.  Hard not to speak up when the truth is on your side.  We will be careful to keep responses pointed and constructive until such time as a question or comment doesn't justify a response.

This sounds accurate based on every account we have heard and situations at other races GH hosts.

This national is the only thing that could lure me into California. Please make it happen.

I think the other voice that could explain the shenanigans of Coombs ,would be Jody. His opinion is valued. Jase call up Jody. The AMA has also a hand in this.

Ok, let's go back to the specific points actually stated by Davey:

Fallout #1: In 2010, Glen Helen had 5 non-negotiable points on the contract, which Davey could not agree to:

1. Own sponsors

2. Own vendors

3. Friend of Bud's does the t-shirts

4. Length of track up to Bud (too long)

5. (Davey can't remember)

In 2014 or 2015, Tom White got Bud and Davey back together.

Fallout #2: In 2018, Davey announced the 2019 schedule, which included Glen Helen, based on a contract extension with “literally no changes to the contract” as worked out between Davey’s sister and Lori.  They put 3 years on the contract, and Bud wanted 5.  Then Bud said “take us off the schedule”, and Davey obliged.

Fallout #3: In 2021, John Anderson asked Davey to give it one more shot, in the spirit of the late Tom White, and organized an intervention luncheon.  Bud agreed he’d step aside and let others run the national.  Agreement was reached to end the 2022 national schedule with Glen Helen.  Then a few weeks later Bud called and had problems with the agreement and it fell through.

If you’re  on good terms with the other track promoters I’m sure they would share the details of their contracts….they seemed to share a good deal of info to Jace…again there are 11 tracks that are not complaining and making money…it’s really hard for us as fans to understand why you can’t or won’t do the same as the other 11…it really makes no sense and it makes you look like you are the problem….just speaking the truth.

He waits that long because he is trying to get views on YouTube.  He earns far more through that platform so if he leaves it there for numerous days it will get more clicks than if he launches the Pod.  I agree it's annoying.  I don't love Jace, but many of his guests are interesting and I watching on You Tube even if just listening is a pain.

The other 11 don’t seem to have that issue so why are you different? Please help us as fans understand why you have to be different than the other 11…

Never once in all these years of listening to Davey C interviews does he come of as unreasonable. And in person he is even more pleasant. Bud F on the other hand sounds like the opposite. Pretty sure I’m not always drunk 🤷🏼‍♂️

Let me fix this. Theres 11 tracks that arent ppublicly ccomplaining about it.

Also it sounded like some things I've heard before and from when I was still around people that talk and thats the coombs are not the best people to deal with when it comes to bussines. So when the NPG head counsel Carrie Coombs decided while negotiating for the NPG basically back door dealed npg out and her and daveys new venture in as MX-Sport and backed the tracks into a spot we run it now take it or leave it and enough took it that more fell in line. If thats what happend then buds right people go to jail for a few years for that.
