I’m 55 years old, 5’9”, 155 pounds, and 8% body fat.
“The latest data indicate that 39.6 percent of U.S. adults are obese. (Another 31.6 percent are overweight and 7.7 percent are severely obese.)”
“According to the American Council on Exercise, the average for a guy is 18% to 24% body fat; 15% to 17% body fat puts you in the fitness category, while 6% to 13% body fat is athlete status. But what's the real difference among the numbers? Guys below 20% body fat typically have muscle definition of some sort.”
I'm 57 5'10" 220 lbs. No idea on body fat but for sure should be lower . I was up to 230 a couple months ago and 38 in waist . Most I've ever weighed . I'm on my way back down and my goal is 200 lbs. Man I couldn't imagine 155 . I'd look emaciated. That's what I weighed in high school .
Figure I’m 88% muscle, so 136 pounds of that is muscle. I look emaciated in my face, but when I take my shirt off…….
Yeah, this is what I weighed Freshman year. My plan is to put 10 pounds of muscle back on and stay about 10% body fat.
i think we as a nation have “normalized” obesity.
Im 60, 5'8" and 140lbs.
Wore Wrangler 29"/30" 13MWZ jeans in highschool 45 years ago, wear 31" Wrangler slim-fit 0936PWD now, the 13MWZ line is just too baggy nowadays.
Not sure on the percentages.
Mutt you look great and I know you could easily haul 3-4 hunnert squares with us and keep up.
I can remember when you were buff AF.
53 years old, 6'1" and the bathroom scale says 174 pounds, so let's call it 179. (Don't ever believe the "feel good" scale!)
The last time I had my body fat measured, I was at about 13%, but that was many years ago. I'm sure I'm more like 15-17% now.

$189.95 - $239.95
This is me at about 275, biggest I’ve ever been. It’s not sustainable, naturally.

65 Years old. 5'9". 205 lbs.
160 lbs of muscle, 30 lbs of brains, 5 lbs of junk, 10 lbs of bullshit.
So far I'm the only fat fuck
I'm 36 and have lost 22 pounds in the last two months. I've just stopped eating if I'm not hungry. I am currently at 198 pounds. 6 feet tall.
How do I find out my body fat?
Or the only honest one... lol I hit 222 before I started mountain biking 3-4 days a week. Besides that I haven't changed a thing
The most accurate way is to get dunked in to a tank of water. Getting measured with calipers is a close second. I’m using a fancy Whithings smart scale.
64 in a moth and a half 5'11" around 175. Most recent pic.
No idea on fat content.
I'll join you at the buffet.
There is no amount of normalizing being overweight to get me to give my stats.
6’1, 184 lbs of twisted American steel. “Ladies, you can’t be the first but you might be the next” (Ric Flair)
63, 5;11" 169 lbs, was 196 last christmas.
Thats the pic I remember, nice. Takes a lot of work to get there. My boy inherited his Gpa's genes, he's a pro bodybuilder right now.
You are gonna make me wanna pick up some free weights dammit.
But what good was it to bench 400 pounds and not be able to pick up a can of Coke.
All I focus on now is balance and core strength. My entire gym now consists of two kettlebells (35/50), balance board, yoga ball, Bosu ball, and a MTB.
Old enough to have seen some shit.
6'3" 205-210lbs.
Not sure of body fat, but it ain't much.
Work hard, play as hard as you can get away with, stay off the couch.

I'm right there with ya except im 47 ,you're not alone.
God help us all! What could be next? I'm 54, 5'10"" and I have ranged from 165lbs. to 180lbs. Depending on the stage of life.
Anything but politics.
6’ 3”
195-200ibs depending on what I’ve eaten lately.
A couple months away from turning 65
I do remodeling so I’m too tired to work out other than push-ups every other day.
last Saturday I did 250 push ups throughout the day. The most I’ve ever done n my life. I have fat in my gut but the rest of me is pretty slim. I wish my legs were stronger ….that’s gonna be my down fall as I get older than I already am
I'm 6'3" and currently about 245 lbs (2+ yrs ago I was 317 lbs).
For now I'm aiming for 224 lbs eventually. I think this'll be an OK weight for me as I'm also naturally a very heavily built, broad shouldered etc person. I'll see how I feel once I get down there though. I would like to be lean so perhaps that's delusional, Idk it's been so long since I was anything like that weight I can't actually remember how I even looked when passing it on my way up in the wrong direction...
I started seriously in April 2022 and it's been a long slow road - but purposely so. Iv'e previously had little successes, lost a couple of stone here and there, but always put the weight back on. My mindset this time was to not do big dramatic exercise/diet regimes that I couldn't sustain but just accept that I'm in this for the long haul. I even have planned cheats but still carry a deficit overall, hence the loss. It helps that I'm in quite a physical job too.
Was 260 as of last January. Managed to drop down to 201 by Sept. Wrecked on my bike and, now sitting at 218 at, 5’11”. Dying to get back and, start exercising come Oct/Nov.
57 years old. 5'8" and 153 pounds.
I was 165 two years ago.
59 years old . 6 ft. 142 lbs. Lost 50 lbs. the last 2 1/2 years. More people give me shit for being too skinny than when i was a 195. lb. slob. Yes, obesity is normalized. Quit eating at gas stations, dammit.
Turning 51 in December, 6'1 and hover around 190lbs, give or take 5lbs and 15'ish% B.F.
Balloon'd up to 285 in my early 20's as I was terribly unhappy with life and was just plowing through Mt.Dew and cheeseburgers/french fries.
Now all I drink is water or coffee, with diet coke being my 'out to dinner' treat. Still can't kick the candy at night though.
Most accurate (and easiest) way is actually a body composition test in a BODPOD (I used to work for the company and helped design the newest version), pretty cool device actually. Much less of a process than water displacement, and calipers are pretty much just a guessing game and aren't anywhere near accurate. Those electrical impedance devices you're supposed to hold with both hands and measure the resistance from one arm to the other are also not very accurate either, but cool in theory.
As for me:
Age: 29
Body Comp: 5-7% fat
Weight: 155lbs without clothes
Height: 6ft
28. 6'3 225lbs
Was 6'1 170 till I was 20. Best riding years of my life. Now my belly is growing and my body hurts. But it gets better right?
