The guy would consistently do better than some riders who presently have factory contracts.

Unfortunately, all those guys seem to be "over it".

Having Ferry around doesn't preclude the need for bringing Larocco back. I think he'd do better than some guys who presently have factory rides. And, ya gotta admit, it sure was cool seeing him smoke Emig and Huffman riding that 2-smoker, huh?

I think what DV is saying is that he would rather not deal with Red Dog and The Rock!

True... i'm just sayin they would finish better than preston..

How about Kelly Smith... or some of the arena cross guys.. maybe thats who's going to replace some of these factory riders with injuries..

Pretty tough on someone that hasn't been back riding very long.

The way he handled it still doesn't make any sense. Don't get me wrong, i'm pulling for him, but.. you just think they would have given it to someone who has worked hard during the off season or maybe could have done it nick wey style, showing that a privateer can go out there and get support and still do well. To give up and wait for 09, just seemed like the easy way out. Luckily for him an opportunity came.. but he should have been ready if thats what he was hoping for all along, not to just ride back into speed.

Imagine Larocco on some mutha effin HGH. He'd bitch slap Reed into lieing about an injury too.

I was at Laroccos last SX. He crashed and broke his arm in practice. I think he's over racing SX.

I was surprised when Larocco went SX only. He seemed so much stronger on the MX track. The last year he won his MX title, he had a level of dominance similar to when RC's outdoors (maybe not in finishes, but in the ability to just push past people and put time on them). The year of his downfall, where he broke his front wheel at Gatorback, was kinda strange. The first moto, he railed around everyone like they were standing still. In the 2nd moto, he broke his front wheel, and, to me at least, he never showed that speed or confidence the rest of the season. But, I still think he could come back and do top 7 consistenly in SX.

I would imagine his decision to work supercross was to spend time with his family. His parents work with live nation, and i'm sure
his wife and kids liked being able to walk across the street from the hotel to check out dad in front of thousands of fans, instead of in 100 degree weather in outdoors, usa.

Those guys are done for sure. My post was to say that they would still whoop prestons azz..

His claim was he knew he couldnt win a MX title (im guessing because of RC) but he still had a shot of winning sx because it was a "thinking mans" race or something like that.

I've been thinking of Windham as the new Larocco but I guess Ferry's fitting of the name as well. He's been on lately, no doubt.

I think it would be sad to see Larocco back. It would be depressing waching a 38 yearold shell ride around in 8 or 10 place.

I doubt any of them would finish better than preston. Larocco would be the only one with a chance. Ryno retired struggling in the lites class, dowd isn't that great of a SX rider and only did exceptionally well a couple outdoor tracks late in his career. Not dissing them, but give preston a few races. did you forget he was consistently faster than everyone but the top 3 before he got hurt last?

I agree. It was horrible to watch MC race for eighth place when he came back out of retirement.

Don't you guys get it The Rock has broke that same wrist 4 Times and he couldn't risk breaking it again! I know his wife Beth and believe me if it wasn't for that The Rock would probably still be racing. Breaking the same wrist 4 times is no cake walk.
