I've been out of four strokes for almost 10 years now.
I was alerted to a local guy in need of selling his 21 RMZ 450. "Allegedly" has 20hrs on it.
Guy is a 38y/o Novice.
In nice condition, what are these things worth?
If it's nice, I'll just keep it. This isn't a flip thing. I haven't had a 450 since 2015, so I'll just mess around with it. (In know they are essentially a 2018, dosent matter to me).
Going to look at it tomorrow
4500 maybe? Suzuki is hard to judge. At some point the fact it’s the same as a 25 is a good thing for reselling.
4k good fair deal for both basically if the paint isn’t worn off the rear rim edge yet.
Kbb says $4,795 for trade in and $6,950 for private party. I think 4k is a little low for the seller.
If it really has 20 hours on it I would be open to going up to $5,500 max. Hopefully you can get it for around 5k, but I doubt you will get it for much less unless the guy needs the cash.
Marketplace prices are $4,500-5,500 for a few in my area from 2020-2022.

Kbb is beyond worthless for dirtbikes. Toyota Camrys it’s good with, dirtbikes no chance. 5500 for a used rmz? If it has 2hrs maybe…
If I'm selling it I'm listing for closer to 5500 than 4000...just saying.
You should be able to get an idea on the hours too once you start it. There is a light that will run after the bike is started, every 1 second the light is lit is 4 hours (every .25 seconds is 1 hr).
Great info
You can use the Suzuki tuner to check hours. I heard about the blinking light and it wasn't accurate compared to the tuner.
I wouldn't go higher than $5K.
The used market in my area is about 2 grand lower than KBB for Japanese bikes. Sounds like a solid bike.
Having bought a couple in the last 2 years, one with 1 hour, the other with 2, I would say 4k is in the ballpark. I paid 5k for a 2022, 2 hour bike in March.

$3500 if he "really" needs to get rid of it, 4k otherwise. Feel the situation and the guy out, if he's a friend of a friend, don't haggle too much. As stated above, 24's are going for high 5-6k and when the 25's come out they'll be discounted more.
3500 if you have to swap new tires soon and change other wearing items aswell.
If the bike is in really, really good condition. Then i would maybe pay 3800-3900 for it.
Walked away from it. Bike looked low hours but also looked like it had slid down pavement a few times.
Also had no signs of being maintained. Dry chain, no wrench marks on the drain plug. Owner seemed oblivious. Offered $3500, he held firm at $5k
No deal. Walk away.
What was the total on that one after the fees?
Good question, I'm sure it wasn't 5999.
"+fees."
