He had less than 10% left after 33 km 56 min Saturday race (16% at 51 min then later phone turns off, he was running on fumes Tongue).

He had much more left (30%) after Sunday 1h30min race, he won extreme enduro race in 2h20min a few days ago, battery use is hard to predict for hard enduro, it depends so much on the terrain, and the rider of course.

One thing is for sure, he was fast!

Where was the ""Building a Box" concept when four strokes came on board?

The message is pretty clear:  Until the other manufactures have competitive E bikes: No Starks!

There was rules in place about 4 strokes long before they started racing them.

You guys expect the rules to change because 7 people want to race a bike built buy a guy in a turtleneck?

You want tracks to pay more in insurance?

That's another top20 for Trevor Jones in US Sprint Enduro round 6, albeit against a smaller field (83 finishers this time).

Of note there were 4 Varg riders in the top half.

I wonder how the $600 toy electric motorcycle compares to the big one?

Haaaaa, VP fumes...

The Almighty Church of the Holy Stark's frenzy feels so gooooooone...

And MXGP and AMA SX look sooooo far away...

SX tour round 1 is cancelled due to torrential rain, bummer. Championship should start in 3 weeks now.

Nice little trails but one may wonder why they call this "hard enduro" Dry ? It's just tiny. I can't believe he managed not to stall the bike once Shocked ! just kidding.

Chicken Licks Raceway in Podunk, KY is rained out this weekend. There might've been a Varg there.

Sooooo disappointing. Just keeping you guys updated.

Mate of mine has had a Varg for a couple weeks now.

He's started getting 20 minutes out of a battery and bogging on jump faces and hills while it does still have battery 👀

Had a few rear brake issues also and it was delivered with an enduro tyre on the front.

To give Stark/their dealer their due, they have replaced anything it needed and are now replacing the whole motor.

Heard similar from a couple of people, doesn't bode well for the 'no mainternance' crowd, *edit, unless those are just Friday afternoon bikes.*

Another mate has one which has been totally faultless.

Seems to be hearing 50/50 split around here, but everyone agrees they ride awesome.

Its a first year , first model ever for a new manufacture . There will be issues like every brand has that are un avoidable . As long as Stark takes care of them. And changes the specs/design/ to stop problems from happening than the future Varg's should have fewer issues.

Maybe we will find out that the demands of MX will require a little more maintanance that electric motors have needed in any of the other high demand applications that they have been used in for years. Electric bikes can be lower maintanance as long as they are built to be. I have been wondering what things may pop up . Things that wear out quicker or last longer on an Electric. I remember noticing how much quicker I wore out front tires when I got on my 450 at first. I went through twice as many fronts . I hope that Stark continues to handle issues well like they have been. And that they refine the next gen Varg. It's already an amazing bike, I wonder how the next generation will be?

I hope that Stark works through any growing pains and is around for the long-haul. I also can not wait for the other brands to bring out their Electrics.

Electric may not be for everybody, But I had more fun on that Varg in the 15 minutes I got to ride one than I have had in a longtime. I was amazed to feel how different they are. For me it was  all good ways.

Here is sunday's race, 1h35 min, 25% battery left before the GoPro died, I guess he was close to the finish line?

He sure can climb!

How on earth did the promoters of X Games allow these things to ride when according to Vital it's impossible to get insurance for your event if a Stark is participating?

Those whips were jaw dropping in person! Everyone had sick whips, but Patrick was 2% better.

How is it whipping a Varg VS gas bike?  I have been able to whip an MTB pretty good. But never got as comfortable on a MX bike.

I have only  ridden a Varg  for a short 15 minute ride on mild jumps. But it felt more like a bicycle than a Gas MX bike as far as how easy it was to make it go where I wanted to go.

Without the rotating mass , is it easier or harder to whip?

I don’t have a booters to get loose on, but I feel like it’s fairly flickable.
There was a good size single to table at BillaDilla when I raced there in April, but I was bottoming out on the face with a stock setup, so I chose not to die.
Craig Decker now has one and he’s going to build me a setup soon. Enzo Racing.

This is Non-Moto, given that you are constantly in here whining like a little bitch about people posting in the wrong forum....it seems like you'd practice what you preach Magoober.

Practice what you preach old man.

The whips  are getting so crazy. Almost like a half backflip 180 that You have to undo before You land.   I wish there was a realistic feeling MX simulator that I could strap into and get to feel how that feels.  I'm glad that X games has kept the whip part of the contest alive. The quarter pipe is also pretty wild and I like watching it. As a kid I had my own 8' tall quarter pipe . I remember BMX plus had  some photos of a BMX guy that took a Cr 80 or similar sized dirtbike onto his halfpipe and was getting air. Amazing what they are doing on full sized bikes now.

Doug Henry will be racing on a Varg !  I've always been a fan of Doug's.

Words and Images provided by Stark Future.

Legendary motocross champion Doug Henry is set to make waves on track at the upcoming World VETs MX Race at Farleigh Castle, riding the Stark VARG. This exciting announcement marks a significant milestone in both Henry’s illustrious career and the evolving landscape of motocross.

Doug Henry, a multiple-time AMA motocross and supercross champion, is renowned for his pioneering spirit and resilience. This event will be particularly significant as it marks Henry’s first race abroad since the pre-fourstroke era, highlighting his long-standing impact on the sport. Known for his incredible comeback stories and contributions to motocross, Henry’s participation in the World VETs Motocross is highly anticipated. Fans and fellow competitors alike are eager to witness the synergy between Henry’s skill and the cutting-edge technology of the Stark VARG.

Innovative Technology Meets Legendary Talent

The Stark VARG is a game-changer in the world of motocross. As the world’s most advanced electric motocross bike, it combines unparalleled power, agility, and sustainability. Designed to outperform traditional combustion engines, the VARG offers riders a unique and exhilarating experience. Henry’s choice to ride the Stark VARG highlights his commitment to innovation and the future of motocross.

Overcoming Adversity with Innovation

Doug Henry’s journey in motocross is marked by resilience and innovation. After a severe crash in 2007 that left him paralyzed, Henry did not let this setback halt his racing career. He adapted by using a specially designed riding harness that includes a lap belt and foot stirrups to keep him securely on the bike. This adaptation has allowed him to continue participating in motocross events and even compete in adaptive sports, showcasing his determination and love for the sport.

The World VETs MX will take place on the 20th/ 21st July at Farleigh Castle, UK. The event is a celebration of motocross heritage, bringing together veteran riders from around the globe. Doug Henry’s participation is set to be one of the highlights, with fans excited to see a living legend in action once more.

“I’ve been on the bike for a week now and it’s working great¨, said Doug, ¨I’m really excited to see what the VARG can do for all us adapted riders. Right now I’m getting ready for one of my first races oversees in over a decade and I can´t wait to line up next to some of my old rivals at World Vets”

Anton Wass, commented “We are incredibly proud to have Doug Henry riding the VARG. His legacy in motocross is unparalleled, and his endorsement of our technology is a testament to the performance and potential of our bike. This is a significant moment for the sport and for our company.”

I've never thought of it before, but I would think the Varg would be an excellent choice for someone who's been paralyzed but still wants to ride and/or compete. No need to shift, hand brakes front and rear, a completely tunable powerband, and no possibility of the bike stalling out in a corner.

Good stuff.

I wish Doug Henry every success on that bike.
