Way to many dealers listing all the gear/parts they have for retail or slightly less. I liked using it when i could really see people’s gear/parts they were selling.

Hey Jake, we've added a filter for this. If you use Seller Type and filter to "individual" you can see all the listings you're looking for!

The messages don't show up consistently. I have someone that made me an offer on an item (which I accepted). So we have a message thread going that is linked to that offer, but that thread doesn't show up under 'Buying, Selling, All' when I click my profile icon and navigate to messages. It does appear if I click the 'messages' icon directly in the top nav.

Hey WarrenMX, we have a separate tab for offers but working on some new features to get them within the messages! Appreciate the feedback.

Curious about the money trail. This explanation seems to leave out the details of where the money is held for the week-ish after a Seller makes a sale.

Maybe this answer is meant to be matched to a different question?

MXLocker - I am still curious about this.

MXLocker itself posed the question "Where is my money held" but answered another question, so people are now curious ...

"Yeah, where is my money and why is it being held onto if MXLocker already got its cut as a business - or is there more to this?"

Given many Sellers have experienced delays in getting their money, they think things like ...

"Presumably, MXLocker receives money into an account whenever Buyers pay. Then MXLocker sits on that money until the Buyer marks the item received - and then some. I wonder what MXLocker's average daily balance holding the Sellers' money is (~ 5 days on average?)? What do they do with that balance - surely it doesn't just sit, does it? At the least, someone is earning minimal interest, no? Why does it need to hold this money anyway - why can't Seller's be paid right away, too, like MXLocker? Isn't part of the fee paid to MXLocker to expedite getting money to the Seller in the name of excellent customer experience? Oh man - this is more odd the more I think about it ..."

Sorry I was unclear with my question earlier.

Sellers just have questions, that's all.

Money is held in escrow, with our payment partner, Stripe.

1. Delaying the availability of funds is a common practice in online marketplaces. We implement this to help ensure that MX Locker is safe and secure for both buyers and sellers. For sellers, we handle all fraud protection and disputes. For buyers, if the seller never ships we can refund the payment right away.
2. Delays - sometimes Stripe will delay the funds to sellers that they need to verify, however, we do not see this occurring very often and have built a new tool to avoid this from happening. If it does happen, our support team will fix it immediately.
3. Getting paid faster - we are currently working on new features that will allow sellers with a good history, and verified accounts to get paid instantly.

As always, we are striving to provide the best experience possible for both buyers and sellers and create a safe and trustworthy environment online for users to buy and sell items within the dirt bike community. Happy to answer any questions!

Even eBay holds your money now. It all sucks as a seller.

I really enjoy it, seems like the best place to sell things. Their cut is not small, but I guess neither is eBay’s. My only gripe is the notifications don’t work. I have to check the app a lot of see if anyone has messaged me. I get emails when someone buys something, so that’s good. But yeah, direct push notifications for messages or offers would be great.

I see that option but still when you try to search through stuff it’s almost all dealer listed stuff. For example go look at fly gear and search individual and you’ll see what I’m talk about. Also stinks if you’re trying to sell cause people aren’t really seeing your post.

Kind of bummed I went to check new listings and the first 24 pages (stopped looking) is bike part outs from the same user. No one wants the ktm axle wrench tire spoon or oem 19 kx engine mounts.. I’d imagine there is a way to block a sellers listings?

Hey GoggleFiend904, thanks for the feedback! If you log in to your account, and use the "Recommended" filter on the dirt bike parts page it will show you parts based on your profile info, and search history. Let me know if this helps you.

Why is it that, when scrolling through "Collectibles" section or searching for something specific for example, it shows you the same items over & over & over & over as you click to the next page???

My buddy Randy is getting screwed around on a wiring harness for a yz250f. Guy drives to Mini O's and doesn't get to race because of bad wiring harness. Now he buys one from MXlocker and it's been radio silence. I got completely screwed on a 600 dollar FMF exhaust and I hope he gets what he paid for.

I attempted to let the MXlocker guys right the wrong on the exhaust. They gave the typical corporate policy bullshit reply.

My buddy ordered a "new" pair of tech 10s from a seller on there and the boots showed up very used. It was a nightmare to get his money back.

If the seller does not ship within 3 business days, we'll reach out to them. If there is no movement on the order still, reach out to me ryan@mxlocker.com with the order number and I'll be happy to take a look.

Sorry to hear this, we will take a look at the seller's account in this situation - reach out to me at ryan@mxlocker.com and will make things right for both parties.

I have used MX Locker for a number of years now and have not had an issue. I don’t think there is any buy/sell platform that will be perfect,100% of the time because you will always have some shitty people that have access to use it knowing they are screwing people. I would recommend using a credit card to pay and not directly link a bank account so if there is an issue you can dispute the validity of the charges.

I have had two issues buying things from users on VitalMX and was able to get refunded by PayPal on both of them. Yes, it took unnecessary time out of my life to dispute and provide details, screenshots and pictures but I was able to get my money back. I also don’t pay anyone via Friends & Family if I do not personally know and trust them.

My experience has been not good with MX Locker.  Had an issue with a partial bike ad claimed no suspension even though pictures had suspension.  Person paid, I notified buyer and made sure he knew or read ad. I did this because he asked about the forks.  I told home suspension was not included.  No big deal we had to cancel order MX locker tried to charge me $175.  I sent messages back and forth asked for a phone number and a person to contact with nobody giving me a name or number to contact.  So we went back and forth they agreed to remove post and refund the buyer as a one time thing don’t do this again.  I was like perfect will not do this again.
fast forward I sell another item ship it out they immediately pull out $46.10 from my account.  I again try to work through this and they tell me it is their policy and they had every right to steal the money from me.  Would not give me a name or number of someone to talk to.
so now I sold something else informed buyer I would not ship until I am paid $46.10.  So here we go again the only way to communicate with them is messaging.  Will not give me a person or number to contact with. So now it’s a matter of principal not about the money. The informed me that when I ship the item they would tegund my 46.10 but I told them to refund my $46.10 then I would ship.  I also informed buyer to contact me outside of Mx locker if they do not refund me my money and I would honor my commitment with the buyer.
This could have been handled very easily but taking money without authorization is uncalled for.  I did not complain about the 10 percent they take initially.
so they just informed me that I am banned.
I would caution anyone selling parts and have an item that does not meet the buyers criteria as they will take from the seller without hesitation.
They may have it outlined in their policy but it also states they have the right to change their policy at anytime.  So they can rectify it if they want.

Hey Zeb,

We have policies in place to ensure fair transactions for both buyers and sellers. Our support team has been actively working with you to try to resolve this and offered you a solution - which you would not comply with. We offered multiple times to credit back the $46.10 to your account once you fulfill your duty of shipping the item. As per our seller cancellation policy, the $46.10 was accepted by you when you canceled your original order. We are trying to work with you to get this resolved, and again, mentioned it would be credited back to your account once the item is shipped.

If you wish to fulfill this order, you can email me at ryan@mxlocker.com

Hey Ryan,

Is there a way to stop getting notifications about an item? I'll look at random items and then constantly get notifications whenever the seller discounts them or changes the price. I can see this being a handy feature if you "favorite" an item, but I don't need to be notified about everything I've ever clicked on. I don't want to turn off notifications altogether as I sell stuff on there regularly and still want to receive important notifications.

Ryan,

i have tried mutiple times more than 5 different occasions.  and have asked for a phone number and a person to talk to get this resolved.
I don’t have the warm and fuzzy to send my item then wait on MX Locker to credit me back.

After repeated attempts to resolve peacefully.  If a phone number was given and we could talk this out I don’t see why a reasonable solution could not have been accomplished.  I have many more items to sell and have always been on time with shipping and responding.  And I have purchased several items on here without issue. Fighting over $46.00 is stupid and it’s not about the money at this point it’s about the principal.  If MX Locker is going to treat every seller this way I think it defeats the idea of why MX Locker was started. Perhaps it does not matter to you or MX Locker.

Sincerely

Zeb Steele

Ryan

I did not agree to the $46.10 as I strongly felt the cancelation of the order was not my fault.  I stopped the order because the seller was wanting suspension that was not going to be supplied.  I did not want the seller to think he was buying something then receive it and not be happy that is why I messaged him to prevent anything like that from happening.

again this all could have been resolved if a phone number and name was provided instead of over an Internet forum now.  LOL.

What’s so hard about providing the guy with a phone number? A simple phone call is so much easier than a bunch of texts/emails.
