The front shrouds look a lot better but what is with the shovel fenders?

Are they trying to scare customers away?

I can't believe they would make such a ugly rear fender like that!

Maybe they are trying to get it to float like a hang glider

An industry first... "This finite shape was conceived after hundreds of hours of wind tunnel testing. The fenders and shrouds are
aerodynamically engineered to create topside surface turbulence at lower cornering speeds pushing the bike downward to settle
and stick better into turns. The front fender has a 5.5% incidence airfoil to create lift at speed causing the bike to feel lighter without
compressing into square edge or chop during acceleration."

Looks like Husky is ahead of the curve?

Are you kidding me? "Hundreds of hours of wind tunnel testing" for an MX bike that MAY reach speeds of 55-65 mph during it's intended use on a closed course? Wind tunnel time is not cheap. I guess BMW has money to burn!

Husky is on it!

I raced the MXA 300cc two stroke Husky Bobby Garrison won the two stroke National on yesterday at REM and was very impressed. It's the first time I've raced a two stroke in a loooong time and have to say I would rather race this bike than any of the 250Fs.

300cc helps when you're racing against a sea of 450s in the Vet and Senior classes for sure.

And a lot of German engineers drinking beer at night and RedBull's in the AM...

First ride impressions of it were very positive. The two strokes will not be changing to this chassis design.

Sounds a little crazy to me too, but if you think about it, hold your hand out the window at 40MPH. A fender and shrouds have way
more surface area than a hand. If they only created 8-12 pounds of lift at 40? Unload a shock by 12 pounds over some knarly stuff.
Who knows...Like worcs said... crazy Germans!

Olds cool relax thats why you put your profile nad like that...........I think it is an amazing innovation ....Look we can't really make 4 strokes much lighter than they already are.Way to welcome new technology that might change the way bikes are made.....You mak think a rider and MX bike going 40mph is no big deal but from what I felt today on 4th gear sections of Priu's track the wind drag on my body was a pain in the ass....this can only help the way bikes ride and are designed

When your going 80mph and the fenders are rigid and aero you might be able to tell a difference!?

Hours of wind tunnel, computers galore and this is what they come up with? Seriously share the joint. Whats the greatest speed MX reaches in a turn where down force would play a part?

Someone is taking the horse out back to shoot it I am thinking.

I can appreciate it, but I sure will never buy one for the looks. KTM is as far as I go on that end. They put another angle in something and they lose my business too.
