Hopefully he's just banged up and doesn't have anything broken or torn.

Those are undoubtedly major blows to the series. This sucks

Dylan Wright Update from GDR Honda

By Billy Rainford

As of Monday, June 10 afternoon, here is the update from the Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing team on #1 Dylan Wright who crashed hard in the 2nd moto at Round 2 of the 2024 Canadian Triple Crown Series MX Nationals at Temple Hill MX in Raymond, Alberta:

DYLAN UPDATE: after winning Moto 1, Dylan suffered and enormous get-off while leading Moto 2. The high speed crash caused injuries to the lung, ribs, heart and shoulder along with a concussion. Dylan is currently in a hospital in Lethbridge and is currently out indefinitely. We will update again on Dylan’s health status when we have more information.

Just finished watching, the get off by Wright was sickening. Hoping all goes well with his recovery.

On a positive it was good to see tanti put in a good ride moto 2.

Was it just me or did that race have the crowd of an amateur weekend race? It did not look good on ryde tv for spectator numbers.

It is Canadian National MX so it is not at USA national MX numbers.

Sad Heart breaking weekend for the GDR factory Honda team loosing 2 of their riders!

It did look a little light on spectators. It's better once they head East. Deschambault usually gets a great turnout.

East coast rounds have a great turnout. As Maverick said, Deschambault gets a great turnout. I can tell you getting off the track after the moto it is filled with fans that you can barely ride back to the pits.

Super disappointing. Without WCAN it would have been much worse.

I'm hoping to get to Deschambault next year for the Ecan and national. I've been to Gopher and Walton.

Lethbridge isn’t exactly a major Centre. Let alone Raymond, AB. Whereas Calgary race is right almost in city centre Calgary. Rare. 🇨🇦

I've asked and I've been told he's VERY banged and bruised up. He will be fine. He gets out of the hospital today after some "observation".

I know that's not much to go on...and it still doesn't tell us if he'll be back in the saddle for Pilot Mound...I'd be surprised if he does...but, I'll bet money that he tries to!

Dylan really is awfully damn tough. I hate seeing him hit the ground like that...but, if anyone can get up from a crash like that and simply say,"Tabarnak!” as he takes the hit...gets picked up...and slowly gets back to work...Dylan can.

I'm just glad to hear the general "tone" that he's ok.

(Tabarnak/Tabarnac - Quebecois for "damn it" or when we fall...and as we do...we say in our heads..."Oh, DAMN!")

Well, now I've got to go from Bed Bud to Gopher Dunes!

I don't know if he'll be at round 3. He's a champ, so it won't surprise me if he tries, but he does have a concussion, bruised lung, and heart. He also has a bummed shoulder.

It could have been a lot worse. I'm glad that he is fairly okay.

Here is the line he was taking all day - it was pretty smooth until it wasn’t.

Dylan Wright was cleared from the doctor and will be racing tomorrow.

He's sore, but he's a champ.

It's not over until it's over.
