After all these years of enjoying dirtbike racing I still cannot believe/understand how factory’s won’t support their riders anyway possible to win races. From JB51 not getting 52mm forks, ET3 not getting a cable clutch, and on and on and on!

If factory marketing teams cannot figure out a way to sell bikes without their top riders being on “stock like” parts they’ve got bigger problems.

It looks like KTM/WP are supporting their riders with the best suspension they can get, they might gain some knowledge to build better production suspension, maybe they'll go old school and start using springs.

If Barcia and Chase both have significant success almost instantly after switching to kyb internals. Why does ktm continue to push WP, it seems like a constant reason for their failures over the years

Everyone has been kicking off about barcia not being able to have 52’s this year. But I’m 90% sure no one in the world is running 52’s at a factory level and they’ve been discontinued.

I think everybody finds it weird because just last year they would ONLY let Factory Guys run 52s and now this year they absolutely won't allow them to run them.

Sure, they've been "discontinued" but did they really destroy every last set and all the parts they need to run them or are they collecting dust at the shop somewhere?

No longer available

Discontinued

“Specialty Hardware” appears to no longer exist as “a thing”.

KTM  is spending so much on moto gp that their core market is being virtually drained of brain power and not addressing QC problems. I have been riding KTM's since 1983. Can't say I would buy one again.

Are the Rally fellas running 48s now too?

Well....what's left of the Rally fellas, seems like KTM is about to take their ball and go home there potentially, now that the new bike isn't in the same league as the Honda.

Right there with you.  I never thought I would switch, been loyal for way too long.  Finally made the jump to Yamaha this year (I haven’t owned a Yamaha Mx bike in 35 years) and happy I did.

Similar to Yamaha and the aluminum frame switch. Never gonna see that 04 steel frame again kiss it goodbye. OEMs….

Sexton ditches the WP...starts hammering again. Barcia ditches the WP...starts hammering again. Unbelievable.

It's time to seek greener pastures and leave the real science of suspension to the dental floss blindfolders.

WP you are dead to me, you know how ridiculous my posts look now?

I suppose, but the frame thing seems far more extreme than letting guys run some forks that 85% of fans could never tell the difference.

One would think they could easily copy and machine it and be done already but the cat is out of the bag. Most people wouldn’t even notice the frame change unless they were truly in the sport.
