In Australia we pay $220 a year for a "race license" which allows us to race motocross.
Then we have to join the clubs that we want to race at or practice at, and its usually anywhere from $30 to $50 to join a club.
And practice day fees are around $20 a person.

Belgium varies from 10 till 20€

Lommel has a 1 year membership option for 130 a year or 10 each time.

Holland: u need a pass from the district which is 45€ and most tracks charge around 10€
There's also a track in their harbour which is free.

They have two tracks, the race track where they have the race of champions, and also a practice track which is open on weekends both are a good time.

Brakkemann,

I rode with several riders from Team D-Duck (Belgium) today.

Most our tracks are $15 gate fee. A couple are $20, but are usually worth it.

$150 a year unlimited for family membership. Huge groomed outdoor sand track, clay sx track, and miles of groomed trails. For a family with 3 riders going 4 times per month it works out to be about $2 each per full day of riding. Who said this sport is expensive?

I am saying that its good or bad, but open practice is partly responsible for the low turn outs on race day.

Here on Oahu it is $5 per day with a $25 annual fee to ride at Kahuku MX park where they have several tracks and also have trails. It is the only place to ride on Oahu until they open up this place they are currently building on Sand Island down in Honolulu.

While it is cheap to ride on Kahuku, race days are pretty pricey. It was $85 per class the one time I raced there.

On the plus side it is pretty damn cool to see John DeSoto out there riding. He rides there pretty frequently.

As long as there are decent flaggers on practice days I don't mind paying membership fees and higher practice fees.

At Seminole Tribe here in South Florida it is 22.00 and they have four tracks, motocross and supercross with flaggers, then the beginner and pee wee track.

Thundercross in Okeechobee has two tracks: (plus you pay a annual membership fee of 25.00 I think)
Prices for practice: Motocross $ 20 (has flaggers for motocross on practice days)
Woods & Motocross $ 25

Those are the closest to our Family.

Between $5-15 for most tracks with no track prep or flaggers. If one of our tracks has an open practice the day prior to a race fully prepped and flagged it's usually $25.

$10 per ride at my normal spot or $70 for the season. But we have some as high as $20 per ride. Needless to say those are usually empty.

20-25 for most tracks around here.

real race tracks are 10 admission and 25 to practice.
practice tracks are 25 first time and 20 each time after.

i agree with you on that point jim. if you are a race track, don't open for practice when a track nearby is running an event. but then most track owners only think of themselves.
