and no mention of it on the broadcast.

Thanks RacerX.

[quote:xt4m6d2m]Reed tried to check out early, but Windham was unwilling to let him go. Eventually, a front flat on Windham's CRF450R began to cost him time, and Reed got away.

I don't think so. Only Reed can beat himself this year.
KW wasn't able to win the title while rinding a 450 against Reed's 250, and with a point gift from the AMA.

I like KW. If it weren't for him several seasons would have been even more boring. He put the fight to RC outdoor, he put the fight to CR indoor. I'm just being realistic looking at history. I'd love to have the 450 class go the way of the lite with awesome racing from start to finish. But it isn't going to happen while CR is healthy. Everybody else is racing for second place.

I was told it was on lap 8...

That's what I heard as well.

Imagine racing 12 laps on a rutted and technical SX course with a front flat.

No shit. Props to Kdub for finishing 4th. Any other normal mortal would have pulled off!

Kevin still has it. I thought he was washed up awhile back but he is showing that he can stay with the leaders if he is motivated. I think he sees he has a decent shot at the title if Reed has some back luck. Gotta give the guy credit.

It's funny because I saw a close-up clip of his rear wheel during the telecast and I thought, "Something doesn't look right back there." But Fro didn't say anything about it, so I thought it was my imagination.

Yeah and noone said Chad Reed would win a race last year when JS was dominating. When Kdub does win one I'll think of how clueless some fans are, like you. Did you even watch A3?

Well it was a front flat, so maybe it was your imagination.

I would love to see some pics of this front flat.
I just watch the race for the 3rd time and still cant see any flat tire!
A flat tire is supposedly what caused js to hurt his knee again,
yet kdub rides one for 12 laps to a 4th place in a supercross race.
i'm just saying, it seems like other people(media) are making excuses for him
that he wont make himself. imo

I was wondering what happened to Windham..I really thought he had something for Reed this week. Ferry was looking good too....caught Milsaps. If there were a few more laps, Ferry woulda been in 2nd.

I'll bet it was a rear. You can't ride 12 laps on a SX track with a flat front tire and wind up 4th.

Must have gotten one of those off-the-shelf tires instead of a factory tire.

Wow, very interesting piece of information because Windham was on pace with Reed and just started going backwards - the announcers said maybe he got tired?

Great to see KW on the gas and mixing it up at the front of the pack

I saw the front tire myself when he came back to the pits. If you saw the condition of the front tire and wheel you wouldn't be doubting anything. KW said at lap 8 is when he first noticed the front end starting to feel "squirrelly".

One last point to make here -- KW's effort made quite an impression on the Lites riders under the tent. Their jaw's were on the ground.

He was like holding second with Millsaps behind before the flat; the man deserves tons of credit to get the result he did.

I did see his legs come off the pegs many times in corners and something "looked" wrong in his riding and approach to the corners. .... makes alot of sense now. LOL a rutty track is good for a flat! it keeps the bike where it belongs, no ruts, then the bike will waller all over the place all the time.

i just think KW getting these results are good for the ole guy! kinda like the rock did, consistant and durable.

Kdub is a stud for sure if he did in fact ride that long with a front flat.. Sounds almost impossible to me.. I rode with a few of those last year racing desert and its tough just going straight let alone trying to jump shit and turn! <img class= " title="Laughing">
