Hey guys, what you think of this new set from the guys at Polisport?

Comes with tank, seat, airbox, and of course, the full plastics kit.   Fit's the YZ125-250 from 2002-2021.

Good thing is, the plastics are the same as the current YZ's, so you can just order the plastic replacements without hassle, graphics too.  No silly brackets, direct fit.

91571 - SCRUB 1.jpg?VersionId=vO Pm

Quick clarification, please.

The original post says it fits 2002-2021 models but the dropdown on the site lists 2008-2021.

Can you confirm which model year range is correct?

Thanks!

2008 will be because of the fork guards.

That would make sense since they have 3 different ranges of years listed: 08-14, 09-15 and '21.

If the fork guards are the diference, I wonder when they'll have the ones available to fit the 02-07 models.

BTW, anyone in the States that has bought from them care to share your experience with customs/fees, etc., and if there were any headaches or unexpected expenses in getting it to you?

Not talking about seller-related issues but customs/duties/broker related ones.

I've bought several items from overseas and it was the same as if I'd bought from a US-based seller but I've had friends that had import horror stories (like getting Airoh helmets).

So far, so good.

I purchased the kit last week and FedEx tracking says it will be here tomorrow.

Just to follow up guys, the seat bolts to a part of the frame, through the center rear of the seat, as per the current bikes. ... we'll prepare a video shortly.  Price, expected around US$400 or so.  So, it's a great option.  Polisport Quality, we all know about the 'other' tanks out there, (leaky leaky), this is real quality.

SCRUB will have them in stock in a week or so.

Would I be able to run OEM shrouds (2023) with the molded in graphics with this kit

TIA

Guys, lots of weird and wonderful questions, but, at the end of the day, this is developed to fit the listed bikes.  It uses standard plastics from the 2022-2024 Yamaha's.  This is not a typical Restyle set, using odd plastics.  It's the standard Yamaha fitment.

For the pre-2008, they use a different front fender bolt spacing, so we're working a solution.   Also, as guys state, fork guards vary between years, so we have to be vary careful.   So many guys seriously don't know exactly what year model they have, so that's a problem.  "My friend said it's 2016", when in fact, it's really 2012.  This is always an issue.   If guys send images of their bike at the time of ordering, saves a lot of heartache!

Anyway, we've just bought a 2016 YZ125, we're going to do a BUILD!  Show how this goes together.

Kit finally arrived today.

So far, other than some trimming on the rear fender, the kit fit perfectly.

Tank & airbox look great too.

I'll post pics later.

How did the seat mount? Did polisport send a bolt in crossmember or something?

For anyone who has ordered the kit and had it shipped to the USA was there any import or customs fees that needed to be paid.  Other than the regular FedEx shipping rate. Thank you

Polisport, thanks for the vid! This looks awesome and will be getting it for a 2006 YZ250.

Any thoughts on when this kit will be available at US online retailers such as RMATV , Motosport, etc. ?

Just finished this restyle on my 2016 yz250, everything fit perfect 👍. Wondering If 22+ model graphics fit okay on this restyle kit, or im going to need restyle specific graphics?

Is that the front fender that came in the kit?

From everything I have seen, the graphics  are the same for the restyled plastic You have and the 22+ oem shaped plastic.  The tank ,seat , airbox sides and seat bracket are what make the plastic fit the older bikes. So if You crashed and broke a shroud, You could use any 22+  2 stroke YZ shroud. Not just a Polisport restyled one.

Is that a 23+ 450 front fender and plate on there?
