I just bought this 1978 RM400, it's kind of ruff but it actually runs good. I plan on getting
the suspension rebuilt, new brakes, cables and anything else it needs just to race a vintage race. I have a few buddies that race and it sounds like a blast! Anybody know if this bike was competive back then??

I recently started on a 1978 Harley MX250 I have all the major parts and most everything powder coated or painted. Still tracking down some small stuff.
I have a suspicion that Mr. Newmann will have some cool schtuff to share very soon.

I was curious how you were going to seal the finned cap to the head and make it leakproof?
In all your research on this bike did anyone mention if FOX ever watercooled a 250?
I know there would be no performance gain but it sure would look trick.
Would you have any objections to me making that same head for my 250?
If so I would understand but after seeing it on your bike I'm green with envy.
