There it is....the trifecta is complete!

Get the business plan together for the new moto media empire set to debut in 2025 with Phil, AC and Wilson.

I'm starting to think it may have been Phil who lit a fire under Coop with the resurgence we've seen lately.

Something like "go out there and show 'em you ain't too old, and when you win flip 'em the bird!" 🙂

Fair play , he has been a solid performer for a long while, and i am sure Club MX will still want him to be involved.

I think we are going to see a bunch more over the next year or two. Lot of guys aging out rn.

On the bright side, I think its cool to see guys like Phil, malc, JA, Kenny, Tomac, Chiz, Dean, etc all pushing into their 30s. You would have to think this is by far the oldest "average" age in the main events we have ever had.

In this sport...sometimes I feel.. we're very short sighted on who we call great and why.

Having had the opportunity to be around a lot of these guys over the last 25 years...

Phil is as great is it gets in this sport.

Phil, may your future be as bright and rewarding as you've been for us.

I hate when vets retire and I'm particularly unhappy with this one.

OH GAWD. There's absolutely NO WAY anyone is going to listen to a Scottish-English accent for a broadcast.

I still say those guys have another 2-3 years average in them. Until they just don't want to race anymore.

Who could forget Phil's holeshot and subsequently his forks green light shining as introduction to the new way of pointing out the leader! Well played Phil 🥇

Phil is the every man hero and the people’s champ!  Congratulations to him on making a successful 18 year pro career!

The last SMX round in Vegas is going to be memorable for a lot of riders and their fans!  I hope the retirees get a good parade/last lap after the race!

No more "I saw God too many times that day". Well unless Phil actually takes that job as a correctional officer in upstate NY. On a serious note; GREAT CAREER PHIL! We are all pulling for you in whatever it is you do next! Hopefully you'll still be around for years to come!

Grew up racing in NY. My favorite memory of Phil is 2006 Frozen Ocean SX pro night. He was a young skinny kid giving all the older local pros a real run for there money in the A classes. He battled up front all night with some big names. I knew who Phil was from seeing him in the mini classes but after that Pro race at Frozen Ocean I always rooted for him. Great career! Good luck too him in his next chapter

Massively underated as a racer

Massively overrated as a podcast guest.

There comes a time in every riders career when the risk vs reward no longer adds up. I am glad that Phil has realized this and I leaving the sport under his own terms. I wish him well in his future adventures.

Bummed because Phil will be missed.  Smiling and happy, because it is a good day when a bumpty bump guy can make his own decision to step away.  Here's to you Phil!
